I called and they said they would be sending them a request for update that I should expect to hear between 2 to 4 weeks. Rushing to submit N-400 now because if they schedule an interview I’d like to get a combo.

USPS informed delivery says I have a letter coming today from USCIS, no idea what it says. 
 

My case status hasn’t changed. I’ll reply with what it is once it’s delivered. Fingers crossed for good news....

The letter ended up being a biometrics appointment for 8/5/19 😂

Yeah, hopefully you’ll get over this soon.

I submitted my RFE almost 80 days ago and still waiting.

I’m not expecting anything till September  because of their vacations and half day work on Fridays.

Uscis received my REF response on June 27th and its been more than 30 days and am wondering will they take more than 3 months to respond to the RFE? My extension letter will end in September 1st week.

Anyone can tell me when to apply for infopass appointment if Extension letter ends in Sept 8th? Thank you!

I would do it now. You should make an InfoPass appointment at your local USCIS office to get an I-551 stamp on your passport as temporary proof of permanent residency. That is what I would do.

I live in Indianapolis and Indianapolis field office shows that "This office is not accepting walk-in requests or scheduling InfoPass appointments." and my attorney also say the same thing that i cant apply for infopass appointment and just have to wait for the USCIS to make the decision. I work in a large firm and I dont know if i can continue work after Sept 8th if I dont have any valid proof that i can stay/work here.   I am totally confused!

Have you tried to call the main number to try to get an InfoPass from a level 2? You might not be able to directly get local office contact, but main number can probably make it. That's what I had to do in philadelphia for my dependent. No walk ins no direct scheduling but main number did the trick for me. By any chance are you relatively close to other offices? 

 

To be honest I might try to go to the local office and try to wrangle some assistance in a respectful responsible manner. You might get right person. Stranger things have happened..

I haven't called them, I will do now!! I dont have any relatives live near by the office. Will tier 2 officer schedule appointment based on case to case or if extension is expiring soon for few people?

That is how I did it. My wife got the NOA and extension letter quickly but my sun never rcvd it. So after a few weeks I called and they filed a request and an agent was notified and they were supposed to send out rcpt and letter. A month later it still didn't happen. I tried to contact local office but couldn't help. I called back again, some to a tier 2 and she gave me an appt for infopass to get passport stamped at my local office.  I hate sleeping on these things and try my best to push if I need help. Worst they can say is no.. It can't negatively affect your case when you call. I vote you can sort it out quickly!!

From what I know, USCIS has stopped taking Infopass requests online. Only way to make an infopass appointment is to call the customer service number and tell them that you have less than 30 days left for your Extension letter to expire and that you need an infopass.  Most likely they will tell you that a level 2 officer will call you back OR they might do it for you no the call.  You should expect a call from a second level IO within 2-3 business days (or same day - if you call them early enough) and they will schedule your infopass.

 

I think if you have 30 days or less remaining for your extension to expire, you are eligible to get a 551-stamp on your passport.  Hope that helps. Good luck.

So my 18 month extension expired 2 days ago. Still haven’t heard a single word and when I called I was told that on their site it says 19 months is the processing time they are allowing and that it doesn’t matter that my extension has ran out. Been 5 weeks since my interview. So sick and tired of this now.
