Congratulations.  What state did you file and did they approve it on the spot? I was told decision cannot be made because they need to review my I-751

I filed in CSC Apr 2018, transferred to NBC in September 2019. I was approved on the spot. Having my young kids with me sped up the interview a bit. In and out about 30 minutes.

I think it’s up to the officer’s discretion.

Thanks for the info. I filed in CSC too in April 2018(i751) and also got transferred to NBC.  Hopefully I’ll here from them soon.

I just had my interview just now 7 am, i was approved thank you God!! I was surprise the officer didnt ask me a lot of questions. She just ask for my original divorce decree and check all the forms and everything. I was really surprised. But i think she already read my affidavit about what about to my marriage.

We're in Washington, DC.  Even though they have the file at the local DC office, they did NOT do a combo interview.  His I-751 application was sitting right on the desk when she did his N-400 interview.   I went with him for the interview but they said they didn't need me there.

this is exactly what happened to me too in my local office in downtown los angeles. my husband came, but they didn't want him in the interview. The officer had the i751 case right in front of him and didn't even realize it until I mentioned it at the end of the N400 part of the interview. He said he'd give it to his colleague to work on it, but couldn't give me a timeline as to how much longer it's going to take. My i751 was filed almost exactly 24 months ago  -_____-

My N400 and i751 application got approved 3 weeks after my interview.  I only had N400 interview. No i751 interview.

It is truly good to see many more April 2018 applicants making great progress in their journeys. I have been a silent reader of vj and reading everyone's stories really kept me up with the wait for my i751. I am probably one of the very last one approved for i751, if there are still someone waiting, keep your chins up, things will go well for you. I think I need to share mine for someone who might find it helpful.

I751 received by uscis on April 10, 2018

Notice for no biometric in July 2018

Moved in October 2018

Case transferred to NBC on May 2, 2019, notice sent to old address

All responses for inquiries came from field office, case had stayed there at least since July 2019

Passport stamp in November 2019, clerk mentioned case in queue for interview

Case approved without interview in February, both aprroval notice and green card sent to old address. I had to come back to my old apartment and creepily kept ringing the doorbell for 10 minutes before receiving my mails back. What if the guy just had thrown it away? My lucky day then.

The wait was terrible, but I tried to distract myself by work and some hobbies to have no down time to think about what may have happened next to me. And if you move during the process, make sure you keep good relation with whoever stays at your old address, since uscis does not care about your change of address form that you have submitted, and they seem to be OK if someone has your green card, and they will try to have you paying for the i90 and waiting for another year at least to produce one for you.

May the Force be with you, April warriors.

Congrats buddy ! Good hear a positive end to your I-751 journey. I got my passport stamped for 1 year last week, and the officer told he doesn't have any info on the case.

Positive Vibes !
