It finally happens!!!!!! OMG I am crying of happiness.

I got approved!!! 🥳🥳🥳

Card is being produced. Thank you all for the support, I love this group.

Good luck.

I sent my case  4/13/2018 to VSC and got transferred 3/19/2019 to TSC and I got approved 08/13/2019

what I learn? the cases are not in order! people who sent their case after me to the same Service Center, got approved before me. Be patient, it will come to you.

FINALLY APPROVED! After an RFE, repeat fingerprinting I got an email this morning saying the new card was in process. Cannot explain how relieved I am!!!

Question - how soon after receiving the initial alert online, did you all get the card and notice in the mail??

Also--- any of you that have successfully filed the forms and info for naturalization care to share the process and what is involved as that will be my next thing to do.

Could you please help me as to how did you send the RFE? It included the proofs/evidences they asked and the original letter?

How was your cover letter??

I didnt receive the original rfe letter in mail. so I requested a copy and they emailed me. Can I send my evidences with that copy of RFE ??

Please advise.

I need help with the cover letter as well. Can you share your cover letter please.

Jesus Christ!! Why would you copy and paste your request so much? 🤦🏽‍♀️  I understand you’re in need of information but copying and pasting the same thing so many times is crazy.

Hi guys, I'm planning on traveling to Europe for a month, mid of September and my travel extension will expire in December. Can I still travel with few months left on travel extension? Thank you for you help :)

I received interview notice for my naturalization petition, below is my timeline.

06/16/16: Conditional Green Card Received

04/18/18: Applied I-751

05/23/18: Notice of Action & 12month extension (WAC18180*****)

08/23/18: Notice of Action & 18month extension

02/27/19: Biometrics waiver

03/18/19: Applied N-400 online

04/12/19: Biometrics appointment for N-400

08/14/19: N-400 interview notice

09/17/19: N-400 interview @ Chicago, IL

Although I got mixed reviews about not applying for N-400 while I-751 is pending, I still pursued since my application is straightforward. Looking forward to getting done with USCIS later this year.

I did exactly the same last year with out problem , just when returning to the US before make the line for immigration let know the person that guides the people  that you have a expired GC with extension letter and they will guide you to a specific line ...

Thanks for sharing info, so are you guys preparing for combo interview? Did you check if they are doing combos to all? I have seen somewhere they have said no for combo for one case like 1-2 years back but all recent ones are combos :)

Finally after a long frustrating wait, the day has come. I checked the old website and a new update says " New Card is being produced". The old website suck at "We received your case"

Receipt number: WAC18187*******

 April 24, 2018: Case received

February 27, 2019: Biometrics waver

May 28, 2019: Biometrics notice for retake

August 15, 2019: New Card is being produced.

PS: I didn't apply for N400

Remember guys, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. It is a frustrating waiting game, but it is just a matter of time. Don't give up hope. The lucky day will come ... always :)

My card finally came in the mail yesterday - woohoo!

A question I have for those that are now going through the naturalization/citizenship process. Is there anyone who has been able to file for dual citizenship. Anyone know how to get more information regarding this? I would like to keep both Canadian and US citizenship and apply for dual citizenship. Any downsides to doing this? Any limitations?

Thanks!

My interview will be in San Diego, CA on 9/23.

Here are documents that applied to me for my preparation:

1. Green Card

2. Appointment Letter

3. Passport + another ID Card

4. Marriage Certificate

5. Spouse's birth certificate/citizenship certificate

6, All original documents that I sent my copies before for my I-751 and N-400, that includes:

  • All Pictures / Post on Social Media
  • Flight tickets / Hotels for all trips together
  • Calls / Texts reports
  • Car / Health / Life Insurance
  • Bank Statements
  • Station Orders (my husband in Navy and we not live together due to he moves a lot, so I always need to have his orders)
  • Power of Attorney (they asked me before for my 2 years Green Card)
  • Receipts of Gifts
  • Letters from 2-3 friends about our relationship

So far I can only think of those.

If you see anything else I need, please give me some advice.

Thanks
