We try not to think too much about it and continue living our normal lives but we actually are very distressed at this point with the expiration of the 18 month extension just 3 months away.... Are they going to issue another extension?

Once it gets close to the expiration of the 18 month letter you can call them and they will be scheduling an Info Appointment at your local office where they’ll stamp your passport which is basically good for another 12 month. Hope it doesn’t have to come to this.

Providing you had your Social Security card updated to remove the “Valid with DHS Work Authorization” you should be able to show an employer your social security card and ID such as DL. An employer can not specify the type of document you show.

At least you all have case transfer or BioMetric appointment.

Mine has nothing at all since Feb 27 waiver of BioMetric mail.

My lawyer said I can apply for N400 while waiting for I-751, so I did on April 11.

Now my N-400 said Estimate time complete will be November 2019 (3-4 months await)

I don’t think you can just make assumption based on who posts here. A lot of people who file don’t even know that this side exists or frankly don’t care. So we really don’t know how many people have been approved or not. Sadly! But you are absolutely right, the people who initially posted her, most of them have already been approved.

-  Hi, I'm doing calc based on here only......rest of whole world calc may be percentages more or less changes but everyday reading and following things here, how can we follow outside world which we don't know -how many applied and how many approved and how many pending...lol :)  Chill Bro :)  we can assume things with what we know, when we don't know it's unknown part which we never know :)

I am still waiting here. It has been 3 weeks today that Nebraska has received my well put together RFE package and still no answer or movement. I have another Interview next week with a great company I’d like to work for and I’m afraid that the exact same thing will happen with them as with some of the others before. It’s absolutely frustrating and is really getting to me. As wonderful as my husband is and tries to help I think really understanding this sort of thing can only someone who’s going through the same thing.

So I’m absolutely thankful for this Forum and an outlet for me vent lol 😆

All the best for your new job :)

I’m pretty sure that due to the Holiday tomorrow nobody will be working for the rest of the week so I already gave up on getting any answer this week. Here is to hoping and not giving up.

Yeah, at leaste you have something happening but few people not even see anything from application submitted, not even bio metrics appointment :)

What so ever...Only thing we could do is hope for the best.....I don't think anyone wanna giveup :)

I think have seen few here and few outside. combo with N400 - makes more delay on I-751. Not sure how will effect on your case.

UsGer, thanks for the info! What do you think is "close" to request and infoPass? I think 3 months is kind of close for these things plus we were thinking of travelling in September to visit family abroad. With the extension expiring in October, I don't think we can travel in September, I imagine we need it to be valid for 6 months ahead, no?

All this is very frustrating but not being able to get a job because of this is even worse. I wish you best of luck with your new interview. I wish I could help somehow. Sending you all good energy I have your way 🤞

You can absolutely call them next week if you like. I called them regarding my Job “issue” to ask for an extension and they were willing to schedule an Info appointment for me if I wanted to (it wouldn’t really help me because again, the extension is for one year from the day of the stamp and the job wanted the Card /Permission not to expire for a year).

Just call them and ask. They might tell you, you should wait another two

month and for you to just call back or they’ll already schedule an appointment for a time frame close to expiration of the letter.

Just be aware there might be a wait to get someone on The line for at least 20 minutes if not more. Also you can always request to talk to a Tier 2 officer if you’re not happy with what they tell you. They might not be able to tell you something different but sometimes it helps.

Hope I could help you a bit. It’s just what I learned so far through the process and might vary from case to case or even location to location. But it’s absolutely worth a try and if it helps you to less worry I would say go for it!

Thanks for your words, it’s just patience and the annoyance of this process. I hope it has been the longest time for us to wait.

Woohoo! I got the letter that my request for the removal of the conditional basis has been approved!

I am an early April 2018 filer to the California Service Center. I had an RFE in April 2019, replied within a few weeks by early May, and was invited to a biometric appointment in June. Ten days after my biometric appointment, I got an approval notice in the mail.
