Thank you for the kind words.

You are correct in saying that USCIS issues and sends out the card.

However in our case, USCIS mailed the Green Card to our lawyer.

That's because when filing for the ROC, we had signed the Form G-28 (Opting Section 2b in Part 4) which is the 'Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Accredited Representative'.

In doing so, we declared consent to representative including contact information and signature, that the Green Card (Form I-551) would be mailed to our legal representative when approved.

Hope that helped.

😊

Thanks for your response. Why I'm checking is we also signed and sent Form G-28 so my GC also go to attoeny then

Would we able to track any updates right after something happens or updates comes after card approve get ship?

Your lawyer will receive the NOA (Notice of Action) - the original copy and the updates pertaining to your case, such as Interview Letter, Fingerprint Appointment, etc., while you will receive a courtesy copy for every single mail your lawyer gets.

We had received a letter of approval once our case was received - However, we were able to get the USPS tracking number in our online account.

Furthermore, if you were to register for an account in USCIS (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/logon.do) then you can track it and receive email & text notifications. In doing all of this,  you are always in the loop; one way or the other.

Hope that helped.

Oppsie...I posted this in the wrong thread 🤣😫 I am a Jan 2018 filer lol. They lost  a few of the documents I initially sent them. I’ll post the rfe and what I sent them anyway. I’m sure it’ll help some of you.

**Edit: it won’t let me upload the letter, I’ll try again later**

Quick question... did you call Humana for them to send you the explanation of benefits or did you get it thru your employer? I have Humana too but don't know where to get the summary of coverage and spouse name covered

Thanks for the reply

Does anyone have experience with how long it takes to get a correction green card from USCIS? I received my GC yesterday but the resident since date is wrong. I have to travel soon and dont know how long it takes them to send a corrected one

We went through the corrected green card process for my husband when they had "FNU" listed in front of his name when it shouldn't. Let me tell you....the correcting process is not at the top of their "to do" list. We filed Oct 2016 and the approval didn't come through until December 2017.  Not sure if it will take that long for correcting the date.

Also - a note.....I have a prepaid legal service that i used for advice throughout this entire visa and green card process. (we did everything ourselves, just went to them for advice every once in a while) He advised NOT to send in your GC with the I-90 even though it says to do so. Since it takes a long time to do the correction, you don't want to be without your Legal Document for that long. He said they would send an RFE for the original card and that's when you know they are closer to or actively working on your case, and that's when you should send it in. That's what we did. We got an RFE end of August 2017. Acknowledgement from them in September 2017 and the approval in December 2017.

I hope yours is faster.

Finishing up my RFE package tonight and sent it in first thing in the morning. I will give a detailed list of what I’ve included once it’s mailed off.

Question: Anybody else here already got movement after they sent in their RFE request? Approvals or Interviews?

Did everyone who received finger print waiver back in Feb2019 received another fingerprint appointment?? I am worried because I changed my adress using AR11 and at usps too.. I received waiver in feb 22, 2019, since a lot of us are getting mail for fingerprint, i wonder if i missed my appointment.

Posted

@longuscisprocess I just received my bio appointment two weeks ago after the feb 22 2019 waiver. I already went to the appointment last Friday. Since you did change your Address using AR11 you should have received any mails to the new address you defined. The last case could be that if you call USCIS get a hold of someone to ask if they have mailed any BIO related mail?

Nothing I say should in any way be construed as a breach of VJ TOS. http://www.visajourn...m/content/terms

All my comments regarding any visa's or routes to obtaining one are subject to their individual terms and conditions, the full extent of which can not possibly be fully detailed in any reply on a forum such as this.

In particular but not limited to condone or instruct, either directly or indirectly, how to commit fraudulent or illegal immigration activities in any way, shape, manner or method.

If you read it that way please re read what I wrote, not what you think I wrote. Or what somebody could misconstrue that I wrote.

I spoke with the rep like more than a week ago, he said my address is pending to be updated, and the rep could see that my biometrics was reused in feb 22. I just hope that should be it, and I havent missed anything.
