For those who have applied for Writ of Mandamus , by law they need to reply before 60 days and in my experience they take it all the way to 59th or 60th day to reply mostly asking to resubmit medical and all.

If you received your case number from the lawyer, you can create an account and search for the court updates here https://pcl.uscourts.gov/pcl/pages/search/findCase.jsf

My recommendation is for everyone is if you are waiting for 8 to 10 months, just apply for WOM as that itself take its own time. I am here to answer any questions for anyone based on my experience with WOM.

Did you wind up being charged fees to view your case status through this website?

Hi so my husband asked for his passport back to renew it since it was expired.  Now how do we send it back to Islamabad embassy? I know in order to mail anything through approved couriers we need written email from embassy requesting. But my question is how do I inform

embassy that my husband’s passport is renewed? Or do I wait for them to request on their own?

Send an inquiry through ustraveldocs.  They will share your concern with embassy and you'll get a reply hopefully in a week. That email reply will be sufficient to mail the renewed passport.

Sending an inquiry through embassy website might work but in my experience I never got a response that way.

We’re you called for re oath and fingerprint? And if so, when ?

Yes my husband had a second medical and re-oath where they took his fingerprints again. They contacted us via email. It’s been almost 2 weeks since his reoath. They did not give us a time when his visa will be issued. Status still says AP throughout the process.

Medical now expires every six months. I would hate for the medical to expire. So if you don’t hear back within the next two weeks ask ur congressman to inquire on your behalf. Was he asked to refill ds260 before his oath and was there any major change in his refilled form ?
