Update on our ir5 cases. finally we got visa yesterday after exactly 19 months. Case updated a couple of times back in may and ir form also got reopened for social media account information. A month later we got email to submit updated medical and pictures. It took close to 2 months after that to get interview call and finally visa is issued yesterday.

Congratulations 🎊

Congrats! Were there any updates during the last 2 months after submitting medical and pictures?

Yes 4 updates in total including the one related to email they sent us to visit isb embassy for fingerprints oath and a brief interview. Basically you are looking for 3 updates (which i verified with few other members who had interview at the same time). After 3 updates i also called nvc and they were able to tell me that embassy had received medical and case is ready for next step.

Another sign I noticed that when your ap is over they stop responding to email. I sent several emails to the isb embassy and they never responded back in last 4 months.

I was asked to resubmit medical and photos end of July. I mailed those docs to embassy mid August. Sent them a few emails after that but have not received any reply. My passport which is with them has expired and my status online shows 'expiring soon'. So just wondering what's happening. My interview was in September 2018 and I got the DS form in Jan 2019.

They didn’t ask for new passport? But it does take 2 months after sending medical to get a response. My concern is that they would ask you again to submit passport and it can tale additional 2 months

Any updates to the online inquiry you made regarding expiring soon status?

After multiple fax reminders and generating them email from the page they updated one parents case to AP. The other one is still expired.

No they did not. When I first informed them about my passport expiring soon, they sent me the email requesting medical report and photos. And since then they have not been responding to my emails.

That's silly, why wouldn't they ask for new passport, when existing one is expired. I would suggest you wait for fingerprint email from embassy and then ask them if you should bring new passport during the interview.

I don't know why they don't respond to email after AP is over. I suspect the emails we get during AP are real person responding to our queries.

Unfortunately, since they have my expired passport, I can't renew my passport. I suspect they'd need a new passport before they proceed further. Do they ask everyone for new fingerprints?

Hi...

My interview was on 25th September 2019 at Isb Embassy today they have sent me an Email about an additional Information.

How to reply and what procedure to follow.

Will I need to write my case Number in subject of an email?

What is mean by editable text?

Any other tips please...

Does the email consist of a list of questions, address history, work history, family etc.?

There should be an email listed to forward the response to.

Editable text means you can type right in the email they sent and reply to email address given.

Yes there is an Email.

I think I would have to copy the Email and answer those question and then I have to send it to given email address... right?
