Has anyone ever been asked to send a DS-5535 a second time? This happened to me, and it's been a few months since the first one was sent - what's the reason for this?

are you the only applicant? Did you miss out anything in the first inquiry?

Yes, only one applicant...female beneficiary. I looked through the original form and didn't see anything missed - they just said "applicant should send a new ds-5535 as soon as possible" after I asked why....they simply sent the form without explaining why

Do you travel alot?  I have only seen one person in the old thread asked to update their ds-5535 but they traveled a lot for work.

I have filled ds5535 right after my interview and wondering what happens to mine coz from year 2004 to 2009 I travelled a lot as I was working in Emirates airlines and @Munazzapls let me know since your son wasnt issued visa. My question is did you r3quest consulate to issue your visas or they issued their own, I have my 2 son's also with me 11 and 12 years old and passed 5 months in AP, do you think I should ask them if they issue visas to minors, need your opinion. Thanks

Hi, thank you for your reply. There is not too much travel but also not so little. It's a moderate amount and so the first part of the DS-5535 had multiple countries, multiple locations visited in the past 15 years with different dates. So maybe this is what triggered it then. Do you know who or where in the old thread someone was asked to update their DS-5535? I've searched for it and can't find it.

Mine said "mailed or available" then it was changed back to "mailed/available" :( They requested a new DS-5535 and did not give any information on why

After how many months they asked for new ds5535?

Do you know where in the thread that is? I've just read through page 160 to page 210 (lol I know) looking for the post, want to see what happened with that person

After 3 months, then it was updated to "mailed or available" a few weeks ago (still in AP), and then again another update; but then I sent an email asking about it and they just sent DS-5535 form to be filled by e-mail. I asked about it and they said yes we need a new DS5535 without saying why. After submitting it, AP status changed back to "mailed/available" :( Your thoughts?

You still lucky if they request new ds5535 within 3 months as you said earlier it changed to mailed or available that's means decision almost taken to issue visa but might triggered something from ds5535 which must be missing but hopefully your case will be solved soon. That's what I think Goodluck.
