Has anyone’s DS260 reopened? I logged into ceac  and notices DS260 was reopened and says needs updating. Is this normal? My husbands IR1 has been on AP over a year now since sending in DS5535. All the information that needs updating was basically on the DS5535 (wasn’t part of the original DS260 we filed in 2017).

I’am an us citizen I have a case at NVC that has been completed for more than 85 days. I am still waiting for the interview letter for my wife in Haiti . How long should I waited to get an interview for IR1? I’m wondering why it takes so to have the date for the interview.

For few cases it can take around 4-6 months to get interview date

Where can you see that?

For me it's still no update. I could literally cry right now :( I still don't know why mine takes the most time to even update my case or take a look into mine. My last update was almost over 2 months ago and it was my first update at the same time, right after my interview. NOTHING new since then.

EDIT: Is there some sort of timeline for previous DS 5535 applicants so that we can see how things go normally and how long it takes for the unlucky extreme vetting applicants like us?

I wish there was, been looking for over a year now for a timeline to give me any hope but haven’t had any luck. I guess all we can do is wait and try to stay busy and keep our minds off of everything.

My husbands has reopened. So I opened it and closed it without making any updates. Now it says incomplete. Emailed the embassy and they said there is no action required.

Each case is processed differently. Some get visas after 2 months with ds 5535, some get it within 6-12 months and sadly some people keep waiting ....
