Anyone here for 2 months in AP after the DS 5535 with just ONE update whcih was right after the interview? My status hasn't changed for nearly 60 days, not even an update.

Is that normal?! I was born and raised in the EU, in austria!

I think  it’s normal, my husband has been 5 months in AP, only one update and that was when I sent them the DS 5535. That’s it.

Yeah but I was reading the thread before this as this is the continuation and a LOT of them had multiple updates within the 2 months time frame and not only that, they also got their visa issued..exactly, my only update is also when I sent them the DS 5535. Aside from that, NOTHING.

How are the others doing?

Well, I think each case different from the other.

Since my husaband is from one of the banned country it take almost a year or more in AP that’s what they’ve told me. But they also said it  depends, Some cases they approve it with 3 months and some takes longer.

You might want to check another post on this website. It is called.

Travel ban support group. I am also from a banned country and I like following that post because people comment with valuable info about the travel ban and waiver process there from their own experience and from official websites or from articles in newspapers.

How does contacting a congressman work? I am living in Austria but I am planning to go to California. How can I choose the right one and how can I get in touch with them?

The USC should be the one to contact the congressperson, as their job is to represent their voter electorate.  The USC can check for who their representative is by zipcode.

See that's what I was saying. People here are getting lots of updates within that sort of time frame. Mine has been updated only ONCE within 60 days and the update was because they got my DS 5535 and that's it. And that is me, born and raised in Austria..My parents are from a banned country but I see even people from Pakistan and pretty much all around the world getting more updates than me.

I wonder what is going on and why no one is actually touching my file anymore

I am wondering even you born and raised in Austria you got ds5535 just because your parents from banned country, do you have travel history of any banned countries don't worry you will be cleared soon. Just send inquiry through portal and since 60 days has been passed you should involve senator.
