After requesting a second medical and making us wait about 50 days, it updated today, it says "returned to NVC

I guess it's not meant to be. I am just really numb right now.... if you were going to reject someone don't make them wait a fuk*** 10 months after the interview

I am so sorry to hear this, did they give you a reason for sending it back to NVC and why your case was rejected? I feel like they should at least give someone the reason as to why a case is rejected.

Family based immigrant visas or fiance visas are usually rejected cause they doubt the relationship it's tougher to convince especially in case of fiance visa. But GOD knows I believe someone else had a similar case with a different Visa category may Allah give us all good news and visas issued soon amen.

Would they doubt a relationship even if you were to have a whole baby with that person? It’s crazy not knowing whether the case will be rejected or not after waiting for such a long time

CR1 or IR1 have a low rejection rate but yes AP and DS is pretty common which means longer wait times.

Depends on your country and culture. If CO is convinced you might get it right away.

Well it’s for my fiancé who lives in Germany and is a legal resident of Germany but is a Afghan citizen. Me on the other hand, I was born and raised in America but my parents are from Afghanistan

Normally it would be for a Canadian citizen who was born in MENA/S. Asian countries.

What should I do if my AP passed 13 months since the interview for k1 fiance visa?  Any suggestions, ideas??

There is nothing you can do.  AP is open-ended.
