Got the passport back after 50 days with green slip of AP. Does anyone know ifthe green slip takes shorter time to process? Visa type is H4

Yes , this means your case will stay in Islamabad and will not go to Washington for approval(AKA security checks) which is good. But I am afraid Islamabad embassy working extremely slow , just look at how much time they took to send you back your passport with green slip.

5 months completed In AP under DS-5535 , I emailed Islamabad embassy 3 times and got no reply back from them , Last case update date only changed once (last month after 4 months in AP).

Things are very bad and slow in Pakistan. This wait is turning into nightmare.

Dang, I am sorry man. Yeah, if they were going to send us back the passport then they should have done it sooner. Doing it after 2 months makes no sense. Will it help if I ask some congressman to write to embassy?

Thank you , and its ok we cant do any thing but just wait .

First submit  all the new required documents(if embassy asked any), Then, You need to wait for 120 days at least before congressman inquiry. My guess it wont take long , maybe 4 to 6 months max so you might not need any inquiry.

They didn't ask for anything. Is it bad to start congressional inquiry before 120 days? And is it 120 days from the interview or when we got passport baclk?

120 days before any inquiry is mentioned in somewhere on Pakistan embassy website, The yellow card I got also says wait for 120 days before any inquiry. In Ds-5535 times start after submitting/uploading DS-5535, I guess in other AP time will also start after submitting required documents, but in your case, they didn't ask for any extra document, so first you email embassy and wait for there response if you don't get any then after 120 days of interview start congressional inquiry.

210 days , 7 hard months completed in Ap under ds-5535,  4th email (each with 1 month gap) is on its way to Islamabad embassy. So far I got no reply from them and only 1 last case update date change in 7 months . Well that sounds pathetic but that's the situation in Islamabad Pakistan for Pakistanis because rumors are that the Afghani citizens are getting all the priority and time.

This got so pain full that words can't describe it.

Hello all ,

I've completed 9 months in AP under DS-5535 few days ago , sent embassy email and as usual no response so far .

But I have a good news to share , Someone I know from my city got Ds-5535 in first weak of Jan 2024  received email for medical and submitting passport on 8th of Nov 2024. His category was IR-2.

So that is very encouraging news . I do appeal people from Pakistan reading this post, please , do share your experience of AP especially Ds-5535 so other people can learn and have some hope.

Finger crossed , I am praying that, they start clearing  Feb-2024 start soon.
