OK Thanks i just got back from visiting her we were so hopeful looking at the time lines that we would get ours while I was there. Just some wishful thinking I guess.

just think you could have gone the CR1 got routed to Nebraska service center where people there are having to wait 10-12 months for approvals

I know it sucks being away from the one you love but its all part of immigration nothing is ever simple, easy, or fast.

We're February 7th NOA1 as well. This can be overwhelming because we just don't KNOW when the approval will come. We're elated that the predictions for NOA2 are not trending near August like they were when we initially filed. We're just focusing on doing everything that we can to prepare, like refreshing our understanding of all the steps to come. I feel that time will fly by once we get our NOA2 and our case goes through the NVC and embassy. ...we're so busy, we may actually end up wishing we had MORE time in hindsight! Lol. When I get anxious, I pass my time by shopping for matching lamps and nightstands. Lol. 😆... Hang in there!

Sooo I check the timeline on here everyday when I start my day and we got my noa1 first week in February and I'm seeing a bunch of people all around us have gotten their noa2 already  and even people two weeks after ours. Is this something I should be worried about?

We are in February too but still haven’t received NOA2.

For some reason, I believe beneficiaries from certain countries tend to “move” faster. That’s my feeling.

Just out of curiosity....

Do either of you have any issues that required additional documentation?  Eg. Divorce or criminal record?

We have no previous marriages, criminal background, income issues, etc. The only outstanding concern with our case is that my fiance requested to use an embassy in Europe where he is attending his final year at university. He hasn't been to his home country in a couple of years. ...from what I understand, it's common to use another embassy if you're legally present in the third country. So we're not too worried. Hopefully it won't delay our petition approval though!

If criminal records are completed in this phase, then the country of beneficiary may influence I think the timeline.

I have seen Philippines moving faster for some reason.

As far as I can tell, the country of the beneficiary has little or no influence on the process at the petition stage (there's very weak evidence that high-fraud and high security risk countries are marginally slower), though it's hard to show. The Philippines is such a large percentage of cases that they almost have to on average move pretty close to the average speed (at least just going by VJ timelines, other countries tend to get drowned in small sample size effects where one or two really fast or slow cases skews the average a lot;  the UK, which has a pretty high number of filers every month compared to most non-PI countries, has months where they're faster than average and months where they're slower -- and that's a country you'd think would always be faster than average, because it's very low-fraud, English-speaking, and has relatively good relations with the US).

So why do lots of people think cases from there move faster? It's because there are so many more cases that there are more outliers on the fast side, and you're seeing them now. But a lot of the 'normal-speed' approvals (January filers now) have Filipino beneficiaries too, and so do a lot of the 'slow' ones (Dec 2018 and earlier).
