My fiance and I just got off the phone with the NVC and we finally got a case number !! :D They told us that they will send her an email once the case is sent off to egypt. So me being here in egypt, i was wondering what next?. Will we get notified when the case gets here to egypt ? Should i book medical examination now ? or wait for the case to arrive in egypt ? Also i wanted to know can i use the case number to book an interview now or should i wait for them to notify her first (if they will notify her) or when I receive a letter here in Egypt??? Thank you so much in advance :D

I already tracking i t, but as of right now is there anything we can do ahead of time with the case number here in Egypt? Like the medical exam or scheduling the interview ahead of time? Or should I wait to be notified once the US embassy in Cairo received our file before doing these things?

If you know what the next steps are you can create your account,  prepare the ds160 and possibly pay the fee. The medical may require the letter from NVC or the embassy to schedule.   I would wait to schedule the interview until the case shows "ready" only because then you know your file is on station.

YMMV
