Dear all,

As of today, my N400 case (filed in may 2019 under 3 year rule) status has been changed to testing and interview. I am waiting for the mail to confirm the interview date. However, my i751 (filed in May 2018, transferred to NBC in June 2019) is still pending. Is there anything I can do to make sure I will have the combo interview?

any advice would be much appreciated!

Thank you!!!

Eli

Had my N400 interview yesterday,  apart from having to wait extra half hour to be called as there were lots of ppl everything went smooth , went over N400 application Made some changed and signed , civic test very easy with a phrase to read and write on a tablet . My oath ceremony is scheduled in about a month.  Getting to the end of the tunnel.  Good luck  everyone.

Woke up to an online update that my interview has been scheduled. I hope they upload the letter soon so I can see the date.

My I-751 is still pending; I will call and message them and hope someone can confirm that it will be a combo interview.

(Boston field office, filed in early May under the 3 year rule)

I just got my notice that the interview has been scheduled too!

I was expecting one soon because Cbaker284 filed a couple of days before me from Vegas and they had their interview scheduled last week. Now just need to cross my fingers it’s not during the 3 days I’m out of town in December 😩

Congrats on the notice! Doesn't it feel great to finally get to this last stage?

I was also worried that my interview would fall on one of the six days I'll be out of the country, but it was scheduled for two days before I have to leave. I guess I'll just take my oath after I come back.

I looked at the timelines for N400 applications at my field office and saw that their interviews are exactly 5 weeks (34/35 days) after the notice gets sent out. And that ended up being true for my interview date as well.

It’s so nice to be here! Gotta start studying again but I’m not too worried about it. There should be no reason they don’t approve me.
Now just gotta wait the day or two for the actual date and go from there.
I guess you’re my exit buddy for this ride lol.

Just had the letter added online. My interview is for Friday 13th December, also two days before I fly out!

May filer here. I ran into a very unusual case here. My interview was scheduled yesterday on Oct 30th. It’s a 4 hr drive one way from where I live to the Detroit office. So we decided to take an extra day off and drive there the night before so we won’t be late for the interview.  I arrived there 30 mins prior and checked in for my appointment. I went thro the first step which they captured my photo and fingerprints. Waiting over 1 hr to be called. However, I was told by the IO supervisor there that they couldn’t conduct my interview because my background check was still pending. During my wait time, she had submitted two inquiries on their end. Knowing we drove a long way, she let me wait for another 30 mins and hope she would hear back from the inquiries but no luck. She had to send me home and told me to just wait. Most likely they would just reschedule me for another interview whenever my background check was completed. It was very exhausting for driving over 8 hrs in total let along the additional financial costs to attend this appointment. I looked up on USCIS website, it’s clearly stated under their policy manual for N400 that one’s background check must be conducted and completed before they schedule an interview. Well, that’s not the case for me at least. I have submitted an inquiry to ombudsman office for the negligence and maladministration occurred by USCIS. I don’t know how long that would take nor when and what to expect next. I’m planning to also contact my immigration attorney who helped our AOS and ROC applications in the past years tomorrow and see if there is anything she can help us legal wise. Sighhhhh
