It's typically not long.  They need to confirm internal things, do housekeeping items, and ensure that their printer works.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

There is no hard and fast timeline for completion....could be a couple of days, or a couple of weeks.

While you are waiting, :time: It helps everyone that uses the forum.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

Manila

Manila consular officers work on 221gs in there non-window time.  It all depends on the size of the stack in front of you.   Typically within 10 business days

YMMV

It was on admin processing and now says ready after receiving passports via 2go. How long after ready status to issued? We are no longer 221g, we are ready.

Again depends on how busy they are and what else they have to do before finally placing the visa. Manila is usually pretty quick but I'd stick to the 10 day timeline as a fairly good estimate.

Ready to be reviewed after receipt of your new evidence.   It always was 2 to 3 days but recent trends would indicate that the consulate is a little backed up so I still say up to 10 days.  Has the case changed from immigrant to nonimmigrant?  If not, it's not yet in the queue to be issued.

YMMV

My husband's passport was just recently requested after an issue that needed to be cleared up in the Embassy at the Dominican Republic after our interview.  We were told when we dropped the passport off that even though the website says 2-3 business days, to plan on it taking up to 10 business days.  I am not sure if that is for everywhere right now but just a heads up.  Good Luck and I hope you receive good news soon!

You might have better luck with questions about Manila in the sub-forum for the Philippines.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks
