Op, so where's your case sitting at the moment? You have made lots of misstatements in some of your previous comments that I feel all the 'you've heard' 'you've heard' misinformation screwed you up. Can please cite your sources of where you heard things? All you should have done in the beginning was to get a joint sponsor after the denial and yes it could have been a family member who is LPR or citizen. You as the interviewee should have gotten the instructions on what to do next and passed that info over to your wife since you were at the interview and not her. In either case, any of you can contact the embassy on how to proceed. Try email or the dhl office.

Confirm that your petition is dead before sending a new one, if it's not you could try submitting new evidence to show that your wife's income is higher now.  If you and your wife decide to file a new petition, don't send it until you have evidence of at least one additional visit to spend time together.  Based on your description of the interview where you were denied, the problem is much more than your wife's low income.  You were only together once in seven years, a trip to get married, and that combined with the income problem is a red flag.  Even if your wife's income has increased recently, without lots of evidence of more recent visits you will most likely be denied again.  Sounds like your evidence of bona fide relationship was not very strong, so you need to fix that.  Good luck!
