I suggest sending it in if you get RFE'd for it.  There's always a chance of things getting lost in the mail, is a way of life at times.  You already know about the benefits of tracking and delivery.

I would have no choice but to send it in if RFEed. I use Fedex Express and it seems to get there in 2 business days.

Name error? You mean the married last name vs born name?

I might get RFE too but do you recommend insuring it on sending it? My only issue is that the mail might get lost.

Also, did you send a copy of your PR Card?

What is your receipt date and when was your biometrics?

There was an error in the middle name unfortunately. I90 NOA 1 was November 28 - Biometrics Nov 30 - RFE May 15 - RFE mailed in documents acknowledged May 28th ....... so now the waits continues

Why so expensive? Because you did next day delivery?

What if it gets lost? Would the tracking # be the insurance alone to USCIS so we don’t have to pay a application fee?

What application fee are you talking about?  You already sent in the i-90 without paying the fee (which is not needed when it is a DHS error) and it was received and is already processing...if USCIS wanted you to pay the fee they wouldn't have sent out the biometrics notice.

I sent it overnight so they can get it faster. As Going Through mentioned there is no fee when it’s a DHS error. I mailed it knowing there is a possibility it may get lost, but I won’t worry about it unless it happens. You can’t control all possible outcomes and in my opinion not worth worrying about every single detail. I didn’t send it in when I originally sent in my I-90 back in November because I was scared it would get lost so I understand your concern, but at the end of the day they RFE me because they want the original card. As long as you have your NOA, EAD and all other documents then why worry? I regret not mailing the GC when I sent in the I-90 and the only thing my worrying accomplished was  adding time to my I-90 process. I am going on 7 months 😩

If my mail is lost meaning PR Card lost then I would have to re-file an pay the I-90 fee again right? Would the tracking # serve as proof that I mailed it so DHS won't charge me?

Processing times according to USCIS is faster for replacement now then renewal. Are you following any threads on the internet on I-90?

This thread is beginning to go around in circles somewhat...you may want to reread from the beginning, as that's been asked and answered already in this thread as well as your previous one.

I was referring to the question you asked in the second part of your response that had already been answered before in this and the previous thread.

All you can do now is wait for the i-90 to process, and see if you get sent a RFE or not for the original card....no point worrying about your response to a hypothetical RFE that you haven't received yet being potentially lost in the mail ...until it actually happens.  It'll just drive you nuts worrying about all the potential/hypothetical "what-ifs".
