I called Uscis they told me they are processing

I-129f petitions out of California and there in the month of October 2018 ! Not in January!!!!

So I don’t know what is wright are wrong here !

Anyone have a clue ????

It's a standard USCIS reply. In reality January is getting approved. They told us the same thing, with a little more info depending on the officer we talked to. Last time we called, they told us it's still being processed and in reality our NOA2 was already sent and our case approved. Always take anything USCIS says with a grain of salt.

I agree that patience is what we all desperately need in this immigration process. Visit your fiance, enjoy your time together, NOA2 will come. Best of luck in the rest of your process.

I'm in the same boat. Basically, you can't trust the estimates given on VJ because they account for a very small part of the applicant pool.

I wished they had a better way of knowing really where you are in process ! Maybe I just don’t understand! Do they start on it when they get it are when they pull your file ! I just want to know if I filled it out wright and not have further delay !

Who knows ! Lol I just have to wait !

Here is the inherit problem with the system and with the applicants. USCIS is entrusted with the need to make sure that the USA is safe from the "bad" people. To do that it takes time and resources. They are not only using their internal data bases to scour but also international and country specific. So not only do they have to wait for results from one source but many sources. Some country's are faster and more equipped to answer if requested, USCIS's inquiry. So you are from one country that might be slower then another that's why you are seeing some who have applied after you are moving on before you.

Now the applicant has this "idea" that this is a "wham bam thank you mam" process and it certainty is not. When I read that the adjudication timeline on USCIS website states 5.5 - 7 months then I am gong to stay busy, stay calm and stay off the phone. Funny thing is, they (USCIS) are looking at the same screen you are when you call so don't expect something different. JMHO.

The USCIS process is a huge lesson in control. You must completely give up control over the process. It's VERY hard for most people including myself.  I was much better by ROC.  I sent it and forgot about it.

Keep busy.

First off....CHILL OUT! :)

Second....those dates are estimates and not actual dates/expectations.

Third....USCIS usually gives you generic info that you can always find yourself online.

I would agree that nobody is doing it with any malice, however,  there are many who think the petition is at the Texas service center just because they sent it to a Texas address.   There have been a few whose petitions were approved a year before they were initially filed.   Innocent errors do occur in the data

Thanks for clarifying as I thought maybe Armenia was the new hotbed for activity.   :)
