Well, I sold my car on March 8th. Got back my license plate with me and have been refund for it on March 13th.

Now yesterday my mom in Montreal receives a letter from the City saying I didnt pay my parking ticket.

Date of the Infraction : April 12th !!!!!

Like #######, It's impossible I didnt even have a car then and even more impossible that they saw this plate number on the street because its in my briefcase with my papers..... And this date is exactly my last day at work and for the time and the address they wrote on the paper I have about at least 60 witnesses that could tell them i wasnt there because I was saying goodbye to everybody...

I called the SAAQ. car insurance of Quebec, and the gentleman on the phone tells me I have to appear at one of the offices to get a copy of my Immatriculation file to get the paper that says that I dont have my vehicle since March 8th. Yeah right. At least I can sign a procuration for my mom, but I have yet to hear what the City has to say when I call them this afternoon after my husband brings me the paper that my mom faxed to him.

When you think you took care of everything before you left, you have to get more trouble because some ####### couldnt pass his writting lessons in 3th grade......

Bravo

The problem was not the SAAQ, it was the city of montreal municipal court.

I called them this morning and found out it was a writting mistake and its another person and another car. All I have to do is fax them a letter saying I plead non guilty and explain the mistake and also fax my letter from SAAQ that says my license was canceled in March.

One less thing to worry again, that I shouldnt have had to worry about in the first place....

Im not a criminal!!!! yay!

Yeah Quebec's special like that... all kinds of things that should be easy are made hard for no logical reasons.

Im glad to see everything's resolved. Go figure that it's their mistake, yet you still have to plead non guilty, even when they know you aren't
