Guys, I found a follow up about USCIS not receiving funds to keep working properly. Seems they have calculated a date when they will run out of time, forcing the institution to get rid of more than 13.000 workers.

Thanks!

Yes, this has been the talk for a while.

I also found out that the GC situation is just that they moved the process to be in-house (before they used a third-party company).  So, this means they will be even more delayed because now they will be printing the GC themselves, with less employees.  But, nevertheless, they are still working and processing cases.

Here is a video:

So, I guess we just need to be patient and hope for the best! :/

As an update on the whole renewal thing, the notice you get back from USCIS should indicate the category under which it was renewed (in our case because of marriage-based I believe is Category 9 or something, I must confirm this).

@WickedWorld It seems SSN Administration offices are closed for NY as well (per a quick Google search).  However, I am going to let @andreaam and @Fer Schvarztman answer that.

Let's keep an eye on this thread:

If this is true, then there is no point in getting a waived.  But, again, 50/50.  I don't know why they would waste resources going backwards.

I've checked my notice, k1visa EAD category is 09C. You are correct @Fe.Ta

The SSN office is still close. Here you can find the information.

https://portal.311.nyc.gov/article/?kanumber=KA-03117

I also checked in Google maps SSN offices in NY state and NYC and hours are not specified, so they are still close for in person service. Check on the link if what you need to do is available online.

Sorry for the delay, had a bussy week. And hope this helps @WickedWorld 😊

Would anybody be able to give an updated list of what they have put together for their interview in these new times?  I have a list of a while back, but want to make sure I get any updated information or things you have added now that there are more delays and it allows for compilation of other documents?
