Our Interview notice arrived today.
March 12th. We live in Queens but the Interview is scheduled in Manhattan.
I can’t wait!

Wohoo! congrats! Keep us posted!

We're still waiting..

As for the AOS they received our evidence after the RFE on Dec 12th. I'll be calling at the end of the week to see if there's some update. Two months with no update at all as if the evidence we sent is good or not.

For AED and AP Our case was received on Oct 10th, Nov 8th they took my fingerprints so it's four months today since we started. I saw people that filled the same day than us, almost same day for fingerprints and got approved last Friday. I'm hoping we're closer than what I feel.

Thanks!

I just got an update saying that my EAD card was being produced. I filled on July 15th, so it took me almost 7 months later

I hope you can get an update soon, if it is past the 60 days you can make an inquiry

Well, the processing times in the USCIS website is between 5 to 7 months. So in my case is in the average.
Thank you! I thought this time will never come and is here now! Keep it up, we will all get there sooner or later.

We had our interview today. We were approved on the spot. The officer was really cool and friendly. He told us to not be nervous since him bringing the both of us together is always a good thing. He started saying that he personally liked to see lots of photos so we showed him plenty and from our wedding. He then asked us to tell him our story, how we met, for how long we dated, where did we get married, etc... After that he continued with my wife and the protocol questions of yes and no (the ridiculous questions that we all know about lol) and finally said we were approved. At the end he asked us for any bonafide evidence to give him and he attached it to our case. I don't know if that is for future usage or not. We were told the card should arrive in about 4 weeks.

Our status changed today to new card is being produced.

Thanks! it is a relief honestly that for the next year and a half we are not thinking about paperwork :D

I forgot to mention that the officer for some reason hadn't received our marriage certificate so we had to give him the copy we brought with us. I know everyone here always has extra evidence for the interview but be sure to bring everything they ask for in the interview notice. Even if you have submitted it already.

Yesterday my case updated to "we're scheduling your interview appointment", @andreaam how long it took your appointment letter to arrive to your home?, and how many weeks you have from the date you got the letter to the actual interview date?. I'm a little nervous because I still need to translate documents for the interview as well as some proof we still don't have, hope I have enough time to complete everything.

I'm trying to find an interpreter Spanish-English for my husband, I'm the foreigner but he is not that fluent so if gets nervous because of the interview itself, at least want him to be sure he will understand every question and the USCIS rep will understand his answers. If anyone knows a licensed interpreter in NY for the USCIS interview I will strongly appreciate it.

I'm also in Queens, I think they will send me to Manhattan as well. 😊

I goth the update saying ‘Interview was scheduled’ on a Thursday and I got the letter the next Thursday, so 5 bussiness days.

Then my interview is on March 12th, so roughly 6 weeks between the case update and 5 weeks since I got the letter.
I translated some academic documents using Silver Bay translations in NJ and it wasn’t expensive (5 pages for 100 dollars with notarized certification) and they did it in 2 days.
It doesn’t take long to gather the documentation. We are going to wait until the beginning of March for the update Affidavit of Support (so we got the latest bank statements and pay stubs).
We already put some pictures together, more of the wedding celebration that we just did on January 25th but we don’t really have a lot in between because we are not really picture people and we forgot to take pictures. We have some from Christmas, Thanksgiving and some birthday parties but that’s it. We have a lawyer friend and he recommended us to not bring more than 20 pictures. Interviews are short and the simpler and consistent you are the better.
From what I read on interview reviews, most of the questions will be asked to you Fernanda, not to him. I know you just want to be sure, you can look into the app Thumbtack for interpreters and translators.
Let us know when you get the letter!

Thanks @andreaam! I almost have everything, only need to transfer ownership of our SUV from my brother in law name to my husband and I, a copy or document that I'm co-tenant under our rent lease apartment, The affidavit of support, and bank letter/statements.

I added pictures since I arrive in april, 2019 until present. Also our WhatsApp chats/call logs, Facebook biography posts where friends and family commented our wedding pictures or Christmas wishes, this docs are basically what I need to translate, fortunately all legal docs are already translated and certified. Thanks for the info! And will keep you guys updated 😊

I don’t know if you really need that to be translated. When you receive the letter with the date, you will read there what they need and social media stuff is not in the list.
As I wrote before, our immigration lawyer friend recommended us just to bring what they ask and not overflow them with information.
Just sharing my experience. At the end you will do what makes you feel better 😊

Good luck and have a nice weekend!
