Is there a clear reason you think you were needing one? If your affidavit at k1 was approved, can't imagine why it would be a problem for aos. Is not that much more.

2016 taxes were less than the requirement by about $700 or so. Not a big deal, especially since these are not the most recent (we included 2017 and 2018). But, since I was not expecting a RFE this late, my brain is expecting the worse. So, who knows. I am extremely disappointed.

On the taxes section for aos, If you checked the option to include previous taxes you were suppose to include 3 years worth of tax information. I opted out of it and only included 2018 because I didn't work most of 2016 and didn't have a w2 with me. That's probably why you are getting an rfe.

So it should be easy to fix 🤘

Well, I did include all of it for 2016, 2017, and 2018, so if it is for the shortage of 2016, then chances are they are asking for a co-sponsor and it might not be an easy fix for me.

Hmm if you included them but you are saying that the most recent taxes are sufficient then I can't imagine that's the problem. Maybe for some odd reason you've fallen into this weird situation where they ask for the birth certificate in spite of submitting it already. Keep the hopes up that has been the rfe reason and it should be a matter of sending it again.

Well, unfortunately, we got RFE.  Now we must wait to see what the issue is, this is so disappointing and discouraging. :(  I hope they are not asking for a co-sponsor.

So sorry for you guys! I know you are disappointed and it feels like the worst, believe me I’ve been and I’m there feeling like s$&@t all the time, but you have to keep beings positive. This hopefully will come to an end sooner or later!
Keep us posted when you receive the letter.

For me, we’ve been waiting 115 days since the RFE and no update yet. I read in the June forum though, I guy in the same situation as me got the Ready to schedule interview last week. So that gives me hope!

We contacted our congresswoman too asking for help to get an update (the case online never update to ‘RFE received’) and they sent a letter on Christmas so hopefully we will get some news from there too.
Conclusion: I don’t want to complain because I consider myself lucky to be in this country with my husband but this whole process is more painful than enjoyable sometimes

Our interview date is February 11th. My wife told me there's a lot of items for required documents. From what she told me there's a bunch of stuff that we already have submitted, but I guess by default they require everything again. The only one that makes me wonder is the medical because she has her medical sheet from argentina and also we redid the medical here and sent it over as well with the form I-693. I guess we will just go with what the medical center gave us here.

I’ve been reading in other threads and a lot of people (not only argentinians) are having problems with BC.
Is an easy fix. If the BC is legalized apostilled and translated send a new copy again.

Yes, we have all of that and even the translation was done professionally with its own certificate. So, will be sending by Friday. Hoping yours comes through soon.

Hi guys, long time no see. Rollercoaster here!

Do you know if we have to schedule a new Medical Examination for the AOS Interview?. Unfortunately I lost DR Grillo Medical exam I've done in Argentina in 2019.

Don't know what to do, Do I have to do the medical exams again?, can the US Embassy send me a copy of it again?, I'm starting to freak out

Hello! Welcome back! Hopefully things have smoothed out for you. Unfortunately, no, there is no way for them to provide you a copy. Additionally, if I recall correctly, yours is close to a year (since your interview was in February-March) of have it been done, so it would not suffice either to be used at this point to apply for AOS because it would be considered expired. @andreaam Right?
