Filed for parents on 14 may 2019 ,case approved on oct 12,2019 , submit documents at nvc end of November 2019 , documents approved on 23 January 2020 since waiting for interview in India ,anyone  with same timeline recived  interview?

IR5 visas are not being issued at this time .. presidential executive order .. so there will be no IR5 interviews until the order expires or is lifted. Until then, NVC will hold  the case once they have completed the document checks . Then they will begin  the long process of assigning interviews  as the consulates make them available. This will take time. If my recollection is correct , the EO is in place through the end of this year at least

I submitted my mom’s case April 2019 and got approved Oct 2019 till now NVC has not approved it. Waiting for her interview schedule so she can do her medical.

I think once 45 days for case transfer are up you can contact NVC because it’s outside of processing time at that point. I called NVC once - try calling them in the evening, you may have to wait for 30 min to get connected to the representative.

I am following this topic. I am about to apply for my mom and I don't know if I should wait or just send the application to at least get started.

I know this is difficult, but I will keep trying. It will work because, this distance is nothing compared to our love.

10/2013 we met at church in USA, through some common friends. We became friends.

06/07/2014 we went to our first date. :dancing: Why did we take so long to go out? :ranting:

06/22/2014 I said YES.. I want to be your girlfriend... :luv:

07/16/2014 I had to come back to Colombia because my program was over

10/10/2014 My love met me in Colombia to spend my birthday weekend with me. We got engaged (L)

02/17/2015 - 03/09/2015 He came back to Colombia to visit me and met my family. :star:

05/12/2015 We couldn't stand the distance, so he decided to move here with me.

05/28/2015 We got married at the notary. 06/06/2015 We got married at church :D

12/03/2016  Moved back to the USA. 🥰

08/2020 Became a Citizen. 🇱🇷

You should file I-130 for her, it can get processed much faster than applications from 2019. Some people had their I-130 approved just in a few months this year. Once I-130 is approved then you’ll have 1 year to submit documents for NVC stage (so you can wait at that point, which would be halfway through).

So NVC accepted all the documents and sent me an email that they will work with the US embassy in Manila to schedule my mom's interview and it's been 3 weeks now. really hoping to pick her up on Christmas...

The presidential order has IR5 visas banned until 31 December.

My mother's interview was scheduled for April 2020 in US embassy Manila, but got cancelled due to COVID.  Still waiting, I have been checking the self scheduling link but it still shows no appointments available.

It won't be rescheduled until after the Presidential Proclamation expires on 12/31/2020 or is terminated.

I am so frustrated with that but I’m just hopeful now that this will all end and be back on running. I was hoping to pick her up on christmas but doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen.

Hello All - My application for my father's IR5 was approved on 29th Dec 2020

RFE received in Aug 2020

RFE response in Sept 2020

What are the next steps? I know it goes to NVC and they might be directing me for next steps but I wanted to know from the experienced folks on what they went through and how they prepared for it?

Thanks. Is there a link to a guide somewhere which shows the list of documents that might be required? I would like to be prepared.
