Still no NOA1.....

Hi Folks,

My USC fiancee sent our I-129F and supporting documents to TCS on April 30th by recorded delivery. It was delivered on May 2nd and the cheque was cashed in California on the 9th. It's now the 29th and we still haven't recieved the NOA1. This seems to be quite a long time compared with other peoples time-lines i've read on here. Should we start to worry that our petition has been lost somewhere and if so what should we do next - contact the miss-infromation line maybe?

Cheers in advance

Alan

Alan,

Ask your fiancé to check the back of the (now cashed) check for the case number (three letters followed by 9 numbers, probably WAC#####). Go to the USCIS web site HERE and register your case number to check status.

From recent reports, the USCIS is behind schedule on sending out NOA1s - but it doesn't really mean they're that much behind on processing.

Hope this helps...

On the back of the cancelled check you should find your case number: WACxxxxxxxxx. You can use that to go to the USCIS website, track your case and set up e-mail updates and such.

For some reason a lot of people have been having delays in getting their NOA1's in the mail.

Hope this helps.

Contact the bank. If your fiancee banks online she may be able to get the image online (if it is legible). In my case I went online (I bank with Bank of America), could not read it and then called customer service and they were more than happy to read it for me.

OK, will do that today.

Thanks for the advice. I was starting to get nervous - i know it's only been little more than 3 weeks but it would be nice to know we're in the system and to have a receipt number.

Cheers again

Alan
