Hi everyone! Is there a thread for IR1/CR1 filers from Argentina? It seems like it is very uncommon... I am trying to figure out how long it is taking people to be scheduled for interviews at the BA Embassy these days. It has been almost a month since we were cleared for an interview at the embassy and we haven't heard anything yet.

Hey! We are also doing the CR1 visa process for my husband here in Buenos Aires and waiting for the interview. Of course since the embassy isn't doing routine visa services due to the pandemic, we expect to wait a while. Were you able to get yours scheduled before the lockdown? Or are you still waiting? We have friends that work in the embassy and they said that it would be a couple weeks before they resumed visa services still.

I have not come across a thread for those of us CR1 filers, but would love to be in touch with you about the process!

Hola! Does anybody know if k1 visa holders are not allowed to enter the United States?

I'm asking because of the Presidential Proclamation from April, about immigrants.

Thanks!

Discussed all of the place here -  There is even a COVID19 forum.

If you have a visa you can enter - you may not enter from or transit via a travel banned country or area.

Hi, just starting my nvc paper work, just payed  the nvc fees for my 2 minor sons,I see that the petitioner has to send tax info? I never worked in the us so I only reported 1040 and my bank account in Argentina ,so the question is how can I get a tax transcript online but can’t do it because I don’t have a phone number in the usa? Can I just send the 1040 ? Thank you

Hi @Gonzalaz - my husband and I were just DQ'd last Friday and are also CR1 from Argentina - I would also love to stay in touch about what you hear or have heard about interviews over there - I haven't heard anything about them so far!

Hi as well! We were DQ'd last thursday, and are CR1/IR1 from Argentina too!

So if anyone has info about when they'll begin interviewing, I want to be in the loop too haha ☺️

I just checked all the email addresses list and the lawyer only put hers so I guess that's why we never got an email haha. I'm going to ask her anyways

After I checked the DQ email I noticed they added my middle name on CEAC (wasn't there before), but it's spelled wrong, ugh haha

So I freaked out for a bit, calmed down, sent an inquiry email, and in two weeks I shall see if they reply/correct it, or they'll tell me if it needs to be corrected at all...

@Andresr is wondering if the embassy is doing interviews over the little window now versus inside like before COVID.  Could someone please answer?

Also, if she us doing IR2, since that doesn’t have affidavit, does anyone know if she needs to include 1040, other income like rentals, etc.? @aleful Maybe your mom and you might be able to help?
