@Andrea + Gaston you don’t need to print all the evidence of support again. Since you are sending copies for the P3, they don’t need an extra copy as ‘original’

Im guessing this is a copy or scan of the original right?! since my fiancee is in the states and im here it would be impossible for me to have the original ones :)

@Andrea + Gaston is the NOA 2 necessary for the interview?

It’s not listed on the P3 but we’re bringing it just in case :) I will be accompanying my fiancé day of interview so I’m bringing all the original petitioner docs

For P3 you need a copy but it will be good to bring original for the interview

hey everybody!

I wanted to follow up with everybody here. I'm already in my new home in MN! ❤️

Some comments about the trip:

- Somebody already commented this here or on another thread, can't remember perfectly who, if you can avoid Miami airport, do so. I lost my flight there. The airport was a complete mess. I'm used to land in NY for my connection so, I'm okey with crowded airports but this is a whole new experience. Maybe it was because it was my first time there too, but, seriously, never seen such long lines for security check.

- To go trough migrations: Just let an officer know that you are intending to enter the country on a k1. They have this first check on the autoservice stations but it's not worth the time if you will have to go trough the migration officer and THEN the little migration's office.

- I was at the migration's office for more than an hour. They called me and told me that the embassy forgot a paper on the front of the envelope. I had a word with the officer telling him that my envelope was in perfect conditions and all sealed up so there was no opportinuty for me to take anything out, or ripped off, or anything like that. I even took the envelope in the DHL envelope just as I received it. They were really nice to me and told me not to get worried, that they were going to process it. It just took a couple more minutes. So if your envelope does not have a paper in the front of it you might want to check with the embassy.

- Because all of this things and how crowded the airport was I missed my flight. I was very upset and the ladies from the American Airlines saw my face and gave me another flight the morning after since there were no more flights to MN for the night. My fiancee rented a room for me at the airport (Yes, there's a hotel INSIDE the airport, you don't have to go anywhere) so i could take a shower and relax for a little bit and I got in the next morning flight. So.. I had almost FOUR hours in between and i could not make it. I guess it depends on the airport you're landing. Again this is my experience at Miami airport.

It was a bumpy trip, for sure, but I'm already home super happy and excited for things to come!. Today we're going to buy our marriage license and set the date (probably end of the month).

Thanks for all the support you gave me! And I'm here to help the new ones too.

For the rest of you, happy to continue this trip of papers with you! haha

Same experience with the Miami airport. And I have 3 and a half hours of waiting. I made it to my next flight but I was really close to miss it.

Happy you are in the US! You can enjoy now! Congrats!

Happy you (eventually) made it and welcome home!!! I flew through Miami only once to meet my fiance for the first time ever in person. Never again. 🤣

Hey there!

In adittion at what @Fe.Ta wrote, I will add a few things

First, police certificate and medical exam are good for 60 days. You have to get to the US before those 60 days. After you enter to the US the medical exam is valid for 6months for AOS. So have that in count, it depends on how long ypu hvae to wait for NVC and the embassy. I would recommend to do those when your package is 'Ready' in the embassy.

Translations are needed only for AOS and you can do it yourself signing a letter after it saying that the translation is correct. No need for colegio de traductores o escribanos.

You have to submit a new DS-160. Also do it when when your package is 'Ready' in the embassy.

I'm expecting my fiance will receive his visa in November and we aren't planning to move to the US until February for various reasons. Does that mean we will need to do another police certification and medical exam? Thanks!

I’m seeing your timeline and you just got your NOA2 right? I’m trying to understand your situation so correct me if I’m wrong.

If you you are planning to move on February, try to book your embassy interview and medical exam for late December. In that case any of your paperwork will expire when you enter US.

Yeah, we just got the NOA2. We need to wait at least until the end of January to move back to the US for various reasons. I know we have 6 months after receiving the visa before my fiancé has to enter, so I assumed we would do the interview as soon as possible to make sure everything was sorted out.

I like the idea of doing the interview at the end of December, it seems like plenty of time in case there's some type of issue with the interview. But I noticed that on the NOA2 letter it says that is only valid until December 2nd. Do you know what this expiration corresponds to? Once we have our NVC, does that number no longer matter?

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it!!

The date on NOA2 doesn’t really matter. You can ask for a renewal. I’m not really sure where though. But I heard of people having to wait for various reasons for the interview and having a NOA2 expired and nothing happen.

I suggest for you to wait until you get the email from the embassy telling you that they are ready for your case. At that point you can email back asking these questions.
