Just as everyone here already told you PDF is just fine.

Don't worry and in case you don't get the one with the legend "Este documento acredita que el certificado emitido lo es con excepción al artículo 51 del Código Penal, a solicitud del propio interesado." (I didn't at first, not sure why) don't pay for it twice. You can submit a request online to have it added and send it to you the very same day.

Hope it helps!

So good to know! I saw your earlier post about requesting online and now we’re in that stage so I’ll go read in detail 😜 Thanks so much and hope your travel to the states goes smoothly!! Did you get the visa yet?

Let me know if you have any issue with it.

Thank you so much! I'm so anxious.. I still cannot believe we made it through. And yes, I got my passport back and the envelope with some papers sealed up less than a week after i got approved. I even picked up a DHL location in a shopping and it was super fast. The email with the tracking number got to my inbox just two days after.

Questions for the ones already in the states. Was your envelope sealed up with a corner kind of "cut out" ?

Gracias!!

🤣En serio!! I'm grateful our embassy is one of the quick ones though. I read others from different countries are waiting up to 4 months for their interviews!

Yes.  I also know it is one of the "nicer" ones.  I've read other posts from other countries where they scrutinize you so much it is a requirement for BOTH people to attend and it lasts a couple of hours! YIKES!

Hey everyone!

I'm sorry if these are repetitive questions, I've gone through about 9/15 pages of posts and figured I'd just go ahead and ask! We just got our NOA2 🤗and wondering what we can go ahead and start gathering vs. what we need to wait on [more specifically to the things we have to get from another source; not our evidence and pay stubs and stuff] (I just want to make sure nothing "expires" if we get it now but it's still another month before we hear from the NVC/longer until our interview).

I'm assuming we are safe to collect:

-Police Certificate

-Birth Entry

-Anything else?

Also, do these documents come in English or do we have to get them translated? If translation is needed, does anyone have any recommendations to where to get this done? I see in the Packet 3 something about School of Translators.

Would we need to wait to book the Medical until we get our NVC case number?

Lastly, my fiancé did a DS-160 for a Tourist Visa once, does anyone know if he updates this one (he has registered form to be able to bring it up) or does he start a new one? (I know we probably need to wait for the NVC before doing this form.)

Thank you so much! Congrats to everyone that has received their Visas!!!

Before I can start helping you out or refer you. Are you in CABA or another providence? 🤗

Wait for the e-mail from the embassy (after NVC issues case number and ships it to the embassy) confirming the case is “ready” before you attempt to do the police certificate or the medical. Some people have done it early and it has worked out for them, but it is better to wait. The Tucuman location does a same-day or 24-hour one, so no need to pay twice by trying to get too ahead. Likewise, Dra. Grillo tends to have appointments within 2-3 weeks and, if you let her know the interview date, she tries to “squeeze” you in if she doesn’t have a slot. You also don’t want the medical to expire or you won’t be able to pass through immigration in USA.

@Andrea + Gaston has some of the newest P3 instructions that you can use as reference to determine other things you could be working on that will not expire.

When you say “birth entry” do you mean “Acta de Nacimiento”? If you don’t have the original, you can get a digital one and @Andrea + Gaston can let you know how to get the right one that would be valid to get legalized and apostilled.

They do not need to be in English for the P3 only for EAD and AOS in USA. But, you can do the translation yourself and have a certified letter as @andreaam shared. Or you can use the www.dailytranslations.com as @Andrea + Gaston shared. The Colegio of Escribanos is actually for your apostille, which you will need to do on the “acta” and documents such as the divorce decree before you leave CABA as well as the legalization, which is done in another office.

@andreaam can help with the question about the previous DS-160.

Hey there!

In adittion at what @Fe.Ta wrote, I will add a few things

First, police certificate and medical exam are good for 60 days. You have to get to the US before those 60 days. After you enter to the US the medical exam is valid for 6months for AOS. So have that in count, it depends on how long ypu hvae to wait for NVC and the embassy. I would recommend to do those when your package is 'Ready' in the embassy.

Translations are needed only for AOS and you can do it yourself signing a letter after it saying that the translation is correct. No need for colegio de traductores o escribanos.

You have to submit a new DS-160. Also do it when when your package is 'Ready' in the embassy.
