Error when requesting the emergency appointment

 I applied for a visa to attend a summer program on 14th of July. Because of the unavailability of a near appointment, I applied for an emergency appointment. While entering the information, I entered the date of travel as 14th of may by mistake but it is written correctly in the reason for the appointment. Can I edit this mistake? Or Should I delete the appointment and request a new one. And If I requested a new appointment will I be able to request an emergency appointment if I scheduled a new appointment.

How does attending a "summer program" constitute an emergency?
