Denied SSN when arrived on a K1 but now I have been given green card approval; next step's with SSN application?

Hello, before I explain, if you want to know the full issue with me obtaining a SSN when I arrived on a K1 visa in October 2018 see link to thread below:

TL;DR - Application for SSN sent for manual verification, me & my husband given mixed answers every time we called my local SSA office, after 13 weeks we was told "my case was sat on someones desk & no one chased it up with Homeland security, please come back when you have your EAD card" & I was sent a denial letter.

My query now is;

I had my AOS interview yesterday & was approved for a 2 year conditional greencard on the spot!!

When I return to my local SSA office again, this time with my green card in hand, will my application be sent for manual verification again? Or will I only be waiting the standard 2 weeks for a SSN card to be issued & mailed to me?

Many thanks in advance :)

When you get the card, wait at least two weeks for your new status to make it's way to the SAVE database. If it's not found, then they have to manually verify, so don't rush it.

Apply in the exact name that appears on your green card down to the spelling, use of initials, or whatever. What USCIS puts on your greencard is what they put in the SAVE database. You want to be found.

If there is any problem, ask for a supervisor even if you have to wait it out to see one.

Surely they can't deny me a SSN again, even more so when I have a green card?! Is that possible if they don't get manual verification again? My local SSA office has been terrible.

They can't give you a card unless they verify your greencard status in the system or contact USCIS and verify. They can't just look at your card or naturalisation certificate. Those are for sale in the flea market.

Your problem before was that they arsed around and didn't send your paperwork in and you ran out of time.  The K1 window is limited. Your greencard window is pretty wide open.  Find a different office maybe if you think yours is full of dummies. I use an office 75 miles away.

As an FYI, I went SSA office as K1,  greencard, and naturalisation. My name was different in the system database each of those times so they were required to send me a new Social Security card in that name because they had to match USCIS. It was the SSA lady who told me I was supposed to wait 2 weeks, but my citizenship was already found in the system on about Day 9.

My driver license office also uses SAVE to verify legal presence. They had to issue me a new license to match name differences. They also said "Has it been two weeks?" My 3 name differences were 1) only first and last name, 2) Had added a middle initial, 3) Added my full middle name spelled out.

Do you know if the SAVE info matches what the customs officer input on my I-94? Because I do have two middle names, although my local SSA office admitted it was the fact no one was dealing with my case the whole time, but I'm wondering if maybe I was sent for manual verification because I have two middle names?

It is my understanding that your I-94 comes from a scan of your passport at entry. So that would be what is shown on I-94. If the scan is off you could have names jammed together.  Thus SAVE database would have the jammed together name and you should apply for SSN in that exact name. (You get the number and sort the name later when you get a greencard.) Otherwise they aren't going to find you. I actually think some workers go to a little more effort to find somebody in the system. Some "can't be bovverd".
