I did not know about the backlog! My status just changed ready to schedule interview yesterday but I have no idea on the timeline after that. Is there another thread for Seattle only?

Completed a form on arrival, took 2 minutes

Got called to a desk where a bloke checked my form and passport before sitting back down in the waiting area

Got called again for a picture and finger prints

 

In all had 5 minutes of processing, the rest was just waiting to be called. No hassle, I was in and out fairly quickly. Some people are there as little as 10 minutes.

Hi everyone. I finally have my biometrics today after around 100 days of waiting. Does anyone know *typically* how long after the biometrics that it takes to receive the EAD card? I’m a New York filer. The interview is less important for me right now, I just need to get working. Thanks so much in advance.

If you are a May Filler it's more likely possible to get EAD in November

So I woke up to an "Interview Cancelled" status then it changed to "Ready to Schedule" again, but one was never scheduled and we received no letter. The level of confusion intensifies.

You don't need EAD if you have your green card already. It will cancel due to benefits received by other means.

yes seattle has a long wait for interview. as of jan- march 2019 the pending cases are 6 thousand plus,application received 1k plus. im ready to be scheduled for interview since may 15.
