So I got my biometrics for my EAD done august 1st.

I still havent gotten my biometrics letter for the AOS and when I asked about it, they said they are still doing a backgroundcheck.. Why would they do it before they do the fingerprints? I just dont understand :(

Any advice here?

Same situation here. I did my I 765 biometrics on July 31st. Nothing so far. I asked my lawyer  if I'll get another notice for I 485 and he said depends case by case.

Yes. We are just waiting. Passport was updated/reissued with the married name lately. SSA just sent us a letter that DHS was unable to respond to them within 5 months therefore we should reapply for SSN.  Eventually our patience will wear thin... but for now we are in no rush.

Looks like my wife's status was changed on August 28th to be "Ready to be Scheduled" for an interview.  We're out of the Nashville FO, so I figure we'll get an interview maybe in March 2020. :)

Hi everyone!

I have a question, we filed for i765, i485 & i131, our notice date is May 19th.

Do we need to do interview or biometrics or both? Are they done together or separate?

We got a letter to go for biometrics on September 10th and are wondering if this is the last thing or will an interview be after- I did 2 interviews already, one at the embassy in Dublin and one at US immigration in Dublin airport

Thanks so much!

I-485 is for changing status of your entry visa without you leaving the US. So yes, you'll need an interview for that. Biometrics is just fingerprinting stuff and yes you'll do biometrics and interview both at different times separately. Usually interview is the final step in this process.
