So our Immigration stataus may be seriously delayed because Immigration officers are now being asked to help ICE with asylum cases. https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/hamedaleaziz/uscis-immigration-applications-backlog-ice?fbclid=IwAR3RIC2diqenyDm1WoC4xEdzj08C-n8cv4Owh4e-qaItPlDDxPEV_W8k-bg. We could be in for a very long wait to process our cases. Hate that we who are doing things the right way are being delayed for those who come over and break our laws.🤬

They are doing it to delay everyone. They don't really want any type of immigrants here.

Waiting forever. Receipt date was May 24 as per NOA. Put a service request previously which resulted in "case is not assigned for processing". Didn't bother to put another or call a TIER 2 after seeing peoples experiences here.

89 days still no biometrics. Had 2 unsuccessful Tier 2 conversations (they’re rude! I gave up)  Filed 2nd service request last week with Tier 1.

I note my first SR with tier 1 was prefixed MSC

My SR with tier 2 is prefixed WKD. Anyone know what this means?

My partner came from Nigeria in April 2019 and we married the same month.  We filed for AOS in May 2019.  We received our NOA 1 on May 23, 2019 but haven't heard anything else.  We thought he would have had the biometrics appointment by now.  We live in Central PA and our biometrics location will be in York, PA.  Does anyone have any advice?  We've called USCIS once and got no answers.    I don't know if this type of delay is normal.

85 days no biometric, but I got screwed with RFE😔

What was your RFE about? I got RFIE too re tax return but the Tier 1 said that it does not affect the biometrics scheduling.

An RFE on the i485 doesn't affect the biometrics but it does affect the i131 and i765

YMMV

Yup. It delays the whole process. So whether I have my biometrics appointment anytime soon, I’m still stuck because of the RFIE. Oh well. What matters is I’m already in the US with my husband.

My status changed to Ready to schedule for interview and the processing times for Cincinnati are 3-4 months so I expect I will get my interview soon. I just got the letter a week ago in the mail asking to bring the medical to the interview. I made an appt to do the medical this thursday, but they sent something about how it must be submitted to USCIS within 60 days from the signing. I read up on it online and its unclear to me/people on the forum say all the time its valid for two years.

Should I wait on getting the medical until the interview in scheduled 100%? am i understanding correctly

So I put a service request in for why I didnt get a biometrics appointment for my AOS... (i went to the biometrics for my EAD about 2 weeks ago).

Their answer:

Your case is currently delayed because the required security checks are still pending. A biometrics notice will be mailed out to you once your case has completed the required security checks.

Since when are they doing security checks BEFORE biometrics? I am so confused.

Got the interview letter yesterday in the mail. Has a long list of what should be brought to the interview. One of the items is the petitioners birth certificate. I was Surprised by that because  i thought We only need something showing that I’m a citizen. For the i129 We used Copy of my passport. But on the interview notice it specifically says petitioners birth certificate AND proof of citizenship. I have My birth certificate but will have to translate it. Going to translate it myself and have my signature notarized. The notice also basically says to bring in everything that was submitted previously to USCIS. It is a bit annoying but i guess It’s better to be over prepared. I find the notice to be very vague as to what is important and what is not.
