Go contact your congressman (your House of Representatives rep for your district) and explain the situation/fill out their authorization form to 'look' into the issue on your behalf :) No reason in feeling discouraged! The more we complain to congressional members, the more likelihood something *might* happen.

how do you do this? please explain more!

Google who your House of Representatives that represents your district, then either call them to discuss the situation or look on their website for their "Authorization" form.  I honestly don't suggest Senator because if you think about it, Senators are representing the whole state.  Your congressman/woman is representing the 'district' you live in, thus in theory closer to the voter / doesn't want negative press about not assisting their voters.  Immigration is already a hot topic in the USA.

I already had to do the above for my wife's SSN because SSA was not giving us any answers nor making any effort.  We finally got some traction in the last 2 weeks.

Ultimately they might not do anything, but as an American voter, I want my voice to be heard by the person I'm giving my vote  to that a federal agency is doing a bad job.  It is a whole lot better than complaining to USCIS since we read the pages upon pages about  Tiers 1, 2, etc being total buttwipes to us.  If your congressman/woman does nothing, then guess what?  We get to raise an example to their campaign staff come elections and throw our vote to someone else :)

What do you waste anyways?  30 minutes of your time telling your story, filling out an authorization form, and then waiting to see what happens?

My case status changed yesterday. It says case is ready to be scheduled for interview. I am very happy because it will be two months next week since I had the biometrics but worries at the same time because I renewed my passport last month at the Philippine Consulate in Los Angeles and it takes 6-8 weeks to receive my passport.  I worry I do not have my passport yet if they will schedule my interview in September. How long does it take for the case status to change to interview was scheduled? Let's say, my interview will be on September and I do not have my passport yet, it is okay to go to interview without identification? One more thing, if I re-schedule the interview, how long do I have to wait?

Your thoughts will be highly appreciated.

Hi May 2019 AOS fillers! I expedited my EAD due to financial loss and I was given a job offer from the nursing home where I am volunteering at. Today, they approved it and will produce my card. On the same day, my AOS case changed to ready to be scheduled for an interview.

I am one of the people here who don't have SSS because the local office didn't give me one. It was so frustrating. So, I decided to volunteer and put my mind to anywhere else aside from thinking about the process. And it worked!

As I always say, God made us to be here with our husband. Everything will go well because he is looking down on us. It is a long process but God is with us in this journey.

Hi! I just did my Biometrics today Aug. 8 and I don't know how long will I get my working authorization permit. May I know what did you do to expedite it? I also need a job and I applied for a job anywhere but they're asking me for my working permit which I don't have it yet. Any advice for me? Thank you! :)

Congratulations on having your bio and picture taken today! :) Well, I volunteer in a nursing home in our town. With God's grace, they offered me a job. Then that's it. That's how I started expediting my EAD. Hmm.. I don't know what advice I will give. It's just plain luck. I was offered a job and I took the opportunity

Wifey called. Usually the tier 1 can’t see what the interview date is. Atleast that’s my understanding. Told the wifey to ask for a tier 2 and say that it’s important for us to know the date because we have a vacation planned in September and need to know if we need to cancel. So they took her info and she got a call back few hours later.

I know the feeling, I had to watch many others that filed months after me get NOA 2 approvals, schedule interviews etc while I was still waiting.  So we are definitely counting our blessings that something finally moved quick for us. Unfortunately that's how this process seems to go but I also think it's because the interviews are scheduled according to your state and some wait times are just longer than others.

Do you guys know if your status online tells you date and time of your interview at some point? My status recently changed to “interview has been scheduled” but I haven’t received any letter, I know I should wait some more days to see it in the mail but I called Uscis today (some other questions) and asked them about this and they told me they don’t know why I am seeing this because is too fast to get my interview scheduled, and that this status actually means that I am in queue for an interview and when they have a date available for me I will see it on my status online (date/time). I just think it’s kind of weird.
