No. I still have not received my Ssn card. It has been “ lost “ in the mail 3 times. So tomorrow we’re going back to the SSO to request a new number as well as have it mailed to the SSO for pick up instead of sent to my address. I have reported the post office for “losing” them.

In other news...I saw in another thread that USCIS has updated their processing times for the EAD on a AOS, it's now 2.5-5 months and if it's after March 2, it's outside of processing times. Not too long ago it said 6-8 months. I'm so excited because we are definitely in that window of time! Come on USCIS, bring on the work authorizations!!!

to check official processing times: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

EAD/AP with an AOS are processed at the National Benefits Center

That's awesome. i filed mine on may 10th so do i fall under that window ?

our NOA1 is 5/16, no biometrics yet. Local office is Newark, NJ.

We raised an inquiry for biometrics and they sent us an RFIE for birth certificate. People who filed after us, have already received their biometrics appointment date.

Don't want to raise another request now, just hoping they sent us the appointment letter soon..

The issue is not local office related but date of filing,  we are in same with Minneapolis as our office.   Service requests so far have bern ignored

YMMV

If you check the link, it gives you the date that is considered outside of processing time. If you filed before that date, you can open a service inquiry. Right now it's sometime in March that is considered "past due".

After having the RFE mailed to us on June 27th, it being lost in the mail, the e-request for a new copy not being responded to, and three days of calling the USCIS... finally got a copy of the RFE emailed to me.

...and it's the birth certificate, which I'm 100% sure we included in the application.

Over 30 days of having our case on hold for this is so so so frustrating.

Hi all,

My receipt date for NOA1 is May 16th and I still haven’t received a letter for my biometrics appointment.

I called USCIS about a month ago and was told that it hadn’t be scheduled yet (I.e the letter hadn’t been lost) and to keep waiting.

I called again yesterday and was told the same, (the lady I spoke to also told me that USCIS are currently working on cases from February 17th) but this time I insisted that I wasn’t happy with that response and that nearly 3 months of waiting didn’t seem right, given that people with receipt dates later than mine had been scheduled already. I told her that my concern was that my case had been lost in the scheduling system and that me just keep waiting made me worry more. She then offered to put me through to a tier 2, which put me in the queue for a callback from a tier 2.

4 hours later I received a call back and the guy I spoke to was super helpful, he agreed nearly 3 months was quite long and also asked if I’d had my biometrics taken at the airport when I arrived on my K1. I’m not sure what relevance that had as when asked he said I would still have the biometrics scheduled too.

Anyway...he then opened up the biometrics scheduling calendar for me and I now have my appointment scheduled for August 30th!

Hope this info helps 😊

Give it a try!

Just be persistent as I could tell that the lady I first spoke to didn’t have any answers for me and would have happily let me get off the phone and just continue to wait for a letter in the mail!

I just called, unfortunately the lady said that tier 2 no longer accepts calls today but I should call tomorrow first thing in the morning and I will be able to get a hold of them.

So that's what I am planning to do
