Hello,

Just received interview date for AOS, only 2 months after filing! Wow, moving so much faster than I could have imagined.

Filed: 5/8

Biometrics: 6/4

Interview scheduled for: 8/22

No word on the EAD or AP, though I guess it wont matter after the interview.

Updated our timeline for all to see.

Best of luck to everyone 🙂

Congratulations, that's such a great news!

If it's true, it's VERY good news lol Dallas and Houston are so backed up I'm frankly surprised San Antonio isn't but with the changes happening soon and relocation of cases from busy offices, I think we may be facing those longer wait times here shortly also. 😕

Hey guys. App received May 23. Bio done June 11. Patiently waiting. Queens local office. Hopping for some luck. Really want to plan a trip. I think it would be a better system if they gave out more interview dates. Even if they were 3-4 months away. Would Atleast know when. 🤷🏻‍♂️  It is what it is.

Congratulations, that's such a great news!

Did you have your status changed to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" before you got a letter about an interview? I have filed 05/02 and had Biometrics 06/05 and this status has been visible for two weeks by now. It gives me some hope! :D

We did not check the website at all so we never saw any status updates.

Our update is no updates since NOA1. We are taking a somewhat unconventional approach to the USCIS waiting process - just living life and checking the mailbox everyday.

Lately we sent the passport out to adjust to the married name. We have been going to medical appointments to uncover potential issues and we actually found some. So we are working through that stuff... Something to ponder, depending on where you/your spouse is from (and age) maybe his/her medical history is only for critical care issues or quack-doctor nonsense, and so western medicine might find things before they become problems. We are also working on college admissions stuff to have transcripts evaluated and possibly go back to school to have a US-based degree on the CV.  We are making friends with nearby people of similar backgrounds and building that social support-structure of people that can relate to us and experiences (and take a break from English every so often).

It would be nice to have an SSN so we could get on with driving, earn a little income, etc. But, aside from the "mailbox is boring again today", we will just keep living life.

What did they tell you once 30 days passed from your first request? Mine SR expires Thursday

Well the day my service request expires I wake up this morning to a request for evidence. Not sure what it could be, we were incredibly thorough with our application. Seems convienant but will have to wait again for the request for evidence.

Any one else experienced the same?

No biometrics up to this date and I received RFIE too. We’re in the same boat. Mine has something to do with tax return because my husband has not yet filed his taxes for 2018.

No biometrics up to this date and I received RFIE too. We’re in the same boat. Mine has something to do with tax return because my husband has not yet filed his taxes for 2018.

Not sure what mine is yet, will have to wait for the letter.

Was yours a request for initial evidence or a request for additional evidence?

Initial evidence. The one I submitted was Tax Return of 2017.
