How did you file a senatorial inquiry? I would like to do the same. Our NOA1 was May 22nd. I cant get any answers on the phone but they cashed our check two months ago. I feel like reporting them for theft.

My senator had an option on her website for making federal agency inquiries.   Filled out the privacy form and they took it from there

YMMV

Wow Thank you so much! I just did the same, with Senator Ted Cruz. I hope I can get some answers finally.

I find it better to do your House of Representatives person since they represent your district (thus closer to you as a voter) than the Senator.

Who knows if anything will happen, but it just puts us as a very, very, very tiny dot on their radar.

Hello, we are in a similar situation. We tried to get SSN the day after arrival. We tried several times for the first two weeks she was here. We got the same SSA worker 3 times, and she was not much help at all. They said they could send off for a "manual verification" of the I-94, but said that most likely it would get denied. We ended up giving up and waiting for EAD approval, which now will take many more months!! It's very frustrating because everyone else gets SSNs so easily, but they spoke to us like we were from another planet.

Also, luckily, we could get her medical insurance on my coverage. They still email me often asking for her SSN, but I just remind them we are waiting. We also have official paperwork stating that we tried. But it's a major headache for us. She cant get a drivers license or on my bank account, until 2020??? Ugh.

I gave up too, and now I am waiting for EAD with SSN along. What we did with bank account was, we opened a new JOINT account and he provided his SSN and all docs, I am the second person therefore they didnt require my SSN, only my passport and that was it, we both have our WELLS FARGO debit cards and we make transactions there.

You can expedite your EAD if you have an emergency such as loss of financial, medical emergency, etc and proof of it, some people say that with a job offer letter is possible too. AP is automatically expedited with EAD.

BTW, I dont have medical insurance, and cannot apply for that because our finances are still a little weak with all the paperwork, wedding, traveling etc

Good luck with getting any sympathy from that candidate whoever it is. Sad to say they have put the interest of illegals before us and Americans who are doing the right thing.

It seems like it's just the USCIS not being responsive enough. The increase in current wait times we have is because of Trump administration's policies.

They have been imposing a virtual wall in an effort to stop all kinds of immigration. It makes sense when you think about it, as immigrants generally vote for democrats. In 2016, Trump lost 16 of the 20 states where foreign-born residents constituted the largest share of the population and won 26 of the 30 states where they represent the smallest shares.

So the post office has lost a second social security card. I talked to the SSO today and they told me the exact dates they sent the first and second card. They told me the problem was with the post office and I need to talk to them to find out why they aren’t delivering the card. They also ordered a third one today and said if this one doesn’t deliver them they can order one sent to their office and we could pick it up there. This is ridiculous and makes me wonder if we will have the same issue when the EAD/AP card and PR card is eventually sent...

I am wondering how soon after they say scheduling interview does that letter or the interview come?

A LONG time later. It depends on the service center. My location is over 300 days after that status. It's just like the wait for the NOA2 when we did the K1.

Reached out to Senator Warren yesterday and I just got a call from someone in her office.  She said if we sign a release form, Elizabeth Warren will reach out to USCIS on our behalf and ask about the biometrics. Hoping this means we're actually getting closer to some real answers!

That's great news.

So even though you filed a service request and even after 30 days no one at the USCIS could help?
