For those who haven't heard back from USCIS for the biometric appointment yet (more than 3 weeks since receiving the NOA1s): have you contacted USCIS? I did twice... last time was on June 7 and every time we called them they opened a request and that give them up to 30 days to solve the issue... I have the impression that it is not a good idea to submit a request.. it gives them more time to process our case... :(

Hi guys, I sent my package may 13th, it delivered on May 15th. On May 21st I received messages with case numbers. I recieved NOA1 on June 10th and still no biometrics appointment. Even though it's been a month since I sent my AOS package... does anyone have the same issue?

 

I called USCIS yesterday. First lady told me that they sent me a letter about biometrics so she will transfer me to a  tier 2 specialist to see if the could just tell me the date. 3 hours later I receive a call from Tier 2 rep and she tells me I havent been assigned a biometrics appointment yet... I am a little bit confused. I dont know if I should try calling again or just wait.

Hello MATD, my package was received 05/31, no news yet, I put a service request on 06/14, crossing my fingers to get news soon! if not I was planning on canceling check and filling out all documents once again :(

Interview date: 04/02/2019

Visa issued: 04/04/2019

I wouldn’t cancel the check yet. We sent our packet out on May 20 and it went to the Chicago lockbox on May 21. We just received the text message from USCIS on Sunday June 16. It is tough,  but hang in there.

Thank you very much for the cheer up!  You just made me realize that I need to be patient and that for some reason it is taking a little longer. I will await for the notifications. Thank you!

We mailed our packet out on May 30 through USPS. It was received on June 1st. We haven't received any text messages or NOA 1!

Hi! Just came back home to California last Sunday for a 4 day trip in Washington state. I just travelled with my Philippine passport and of course brought my marriage cert, AOS NOA1, I-94 and wedding invitation from a friend's wedding but they did not ask for them during check in and TSA check. How are you guys doing? Are you collecting/ compiling document and pictures already? Can you please share how you prepare things? :)

Don't bite off your nose, just to spite your face.:yes: Should you decide to cancel or stop payment on a check to USCIS because they seem tardy, there could be repercussions for you from USCIS. Your app/petition could be declined for NSF, and you could be assessed a fee, https://www.uscis.gov/fees.

 

So you will hopefully end up with your refused paperwork, and a $30 fee assessed. Then you get to start the whole process all over again. It is a vicious cycle that should be avoided, even if it is due to their slow processing.

Did you get with your spouses last name? I want to do that but I sent all my adjustment of status with my original name. Do you know how it would be?
