i figured it out!

you press 1-1-2-2. then you enter your case number and you can stay on hold for a representative!

ahh, thank you! I just figured it out as well! except it let me stay on hold to speak with someone when I entered in the case number! I hate automated systems!!

Thank you!!

I'm still waiting for my wife's NOA1 to come. Package was sent 5/22  at Chicago lockbox  and received on 5/24. No text or anything and I'm on my 3rd week. Not happy😖

Just got off the phone. At first the representative gave me the general response that it could take up to 30 days after they receive application for them to process and send NOA1. I started asking questions about how long it typically takes and noted that I've seen reports online of people sending theirs after us and already getting NOA1. When I mentioned that our CC hadn't even been charged yet, she started looking deeper into our case. After confirming some information with my wife, she put in a service request for us. So hopefully that will speed things up a bit.

My guess is our applications are sitting in the same pile and are untouched since they got them. Not sure why they can't just process them in the order they receive them, but hey what do I know :)

Logic and reasoning does not apply to the U.S. Government.

Is there anything you get in the mail or status change after biometrics? Also do they text/email when the EAD/AP is approved before they mail it?

Or do we just wait now until something shows up in the mail.

Hi!!

Has anyone who has competed their biometrics had their status change online?

I just checked ours in the “egov.uscis.gov” website and it is still showing “fingerprint fee was received”.

Please let me know!!

Ours has not changed yet either.

Three weeks now since NOA no biometric. Anyone else going thru the same

yes

No SSN either - we had problems getting it before we got married.... tried twice. I can only guess there is some behind-the-scenes issue that DHS has to manually correct in SEVIS/SAVE or one of the other related systems before they can move forward.

I called the Chicago lockbox USCIS number last Thursday and they have no record of my wife at all. No receipt, no alien registration number, and no social security number which both she has. I find that very difficult to believe so I was told to wait 15 days from the time they received our package which was May 24th. Today I called the usps to see if our money orders were cashed and I got no information on that either. You could be right that our applications are just sitting there waiting to be processed so not sure what the next step will be but I'll wait till Friday to check.

I am in a similar situation. Package sent 5/28, delivered 5/29. No text or email, and credit card has not been charged. Quite frustrating as I paid extra to overnight it. Planning on calling to see what, if any, information they can give me.

I assume the number I call is USCIS Contact Center toll-free at 1-800-375-5283. Can anyone confirm?

Yeah that's the number I called and so they would not tell me if they are located in Chicago or not so that is the correct number to call.

We are in a similar situation. Packet sent on May 20 and received on May 21 at the Chicago lockbox. I called yesterday and was told they would be opening up an inquiry and would take up to 30 days to get a response. They have no record of receiving the package and my check hasn’t been cashed either.

It all depends on how busy the local ASC is.  They only schedule a couple weeks in advance

YMMV
