that does not inspire confidence in me about the interviewer either.

what did you bring to prove bonafides? we are currently in the middle of trying to renew and add her to the lease but my apartment manager is a doofus and it is taking way longer than it should have

funny thing is i dont expect we will ever get an EAD since we just got scheduled for interview status today, so i am actually a bit apprehensive since it seems to be going VERY fast. we filed in Sept

Retroactively thinking, it could just have been his character and I took it as him being too aloof. We got our approval and card in production statuses within the same day, so don't lose hope! It should all go well :)

As far as bonafides, all he wanted a copy of was the lease agreement. We did take a lot of proof but he only asked for bills so we showed him the light bill (in my name) and the internet bill (in his). After those, he just asked if we had a lease and we said yes and that's all he took. You might not have the EAD, no, but that's awesome because you should have the green card soon! My friend applied in July and she's having her interview in San Antonio today, two days after mine and there's a whole month of difference from when we applied (May 29th). It looks like the San Antonio office is speeding up.

For you guys who are still waiting be hopeful it will be done one day. Don't be discouraged even if you got an RFE. Here is my timeline below

USCIS timeline.jpg

Sadly, I'm at day 176... and my case still sits at "case received" "finger print fee received" my PD May 28th, BIO done on June 28th.

Not a single word or update since receiving my notices. Not even a "finger prints reviewed" yet and it has been almost 5 months since having the biometrics done.

The unknown is the worst.

I did but I didn’t receive anything after my EAD. My husband and I have to go to our local SSA so I can get one. We went there last Friday and I have received my SSN today.

What happened at the social security office when u went their? What did they say about the SSN? Did they ask you to fill any forms again?

I haven't received my EAD in hand but my EAD was approved day before yesterday and my AP approval status came in yesterday night.

I read earlier that you got an email for USCIS to submit job offer to expedite your EAD. What documents did you submit if you didn't have a job offer. They sent me the same email. Also what did you write in your cover letter. All the help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Well! We shud have requested for expediting long back. We placed an expedited requested by end of September based on financial loss as my spouse had to spend lotta money on a property case.

When we expedited we received an email to submit job offer. As we didn't have job offer and our request was based on financial loss, we spoke to tier 2 officer and explained the situation. We were then asked to send whatever proof we have to prove our financial loss, so we faxed to USCIS copies of cheques that stated payment to the lawyer and some legal documents that showed that we have a court case going. In the cover letter that we faxed along with other documents, we mentioned the expediting number, A-Number, case number, and petitioner name. We just briefly explained our situation and why we requested for expediting. After sending the fax we followed up with them if they successfully received the documents but they just said the team will get in touch with you if needed. Our approval came almost 45 days after placing the expediting request. If we hadn't placed the request our approval wud have come by this time as per the estimated timelines. So I donno if our request got us the EAD or if it was thru normal processing. Hope this answers your question.

Called my Lawyer, they tried to do a service request and it said we cannot at this time. So, she will try again in two weeks, and so on until it goes through. Hopefully something will happen soon.

No, just fill out the application form for SSN, get a number and wait for your turn. Be ready to show your EAD card, passport and/or birth certificate.

My interview date was supposes to be tomorrow morning but I got a phone call from USCIS Fresno today telling me they don't have my file yet so my interview will be reschuled. It was a short notice but I guess that's just how it is. Is anybody here from California?
