Just a heads up - yesterday the USCIS official estimate for the EAD/AP jumped to 6.5-8.5 months...

I had wondered why VJ upped randomly today! That explains it 🤢

Same here.  I was checking my email and saw the EAD estimate jump.  Gotta love our slow government.  You would figure they would want more immigrants to work faster to grab more tax money.

That's ridiculous....I was thinking 4 months is already so long to wait. Is there anything that can be done to speed it up? My husband is suffering from boredom and wants to start work asap. Are there any options? Ugh.

Only possible way is to have a firm  job offer on hand and

request an expedite

How do you request expedite? Also is it possible to transfer from national processing center to my local center, which is California? Processing times are 3-5 months

Yeah, I mainly just look at it as a frame of reference to what may or may not happen. I can’t remember which thread it was in but someone said they got their interview for like, six weeks after submission? It’s such a crapshoot if you’re going to be average, short or long.

Still going to hold out hope for that original August projection. The guy at my biometrics said six weeks from then which sounded insane (and wrong) but I wouldn’t be mad if it happened.

Wait I am confused... you filled out you filed k1 last december? How are you doing AOS rn?

Maybe you could fill out your timeline, it helps a lot to compare for other people!

I'm adjusting from b2 now, we decided not to do the K1. I was in the US visiting for 6 months and we were advised to just do straight aos, esp bc my state has one of the fastest aos processing apparently.

Sent in my aos may 17th, my current visa expires on the 10th of June however which is why I'm getting nervous
