Hi,

We placed an expedited request for work authorization and have been asked by USCIS to fax documents to support our request.

They gave us a fax number in the email and we tried to send the documents to the given fax number; however, every time it gives a failed message. We tried multiple times.

Wanted to know the USCIS fax number from ppl who had placed an expedited request and successfully sent their documents via fax.

Thanks

Use the number they provided, create a good cover letter along with the supported evidence. I went through the process and it takes some time. I have seen people that get their card 2 weeks after the request. But  for me it was about a month and a half from the time of the submittal of the request to reception of the card. I got the expedite approved two weeks in but the card itself took some time. Good Luck!!

We filed AOS May 9, 2019. Still waiting on EAD/AP combo card. Green card Interview has been “ready to schedule” since July. Should we try and expedite for the EAD/AP? What are some accepted reasons for that or is im losing my mind good enough with doctor proof?😫

Hi, there is any explanation on why some people got their work permit without requesting expedite? the status on my I-765 still case received, not change. However I already have an interview date but no work permitió. Thanks in advance for your explanation.

Once you get your GC you don't need EAD

YMMV

Had my interview today at El Paso and it was by far the easiest part of my AOS process.

Interview lasted 30 minutes, my wife and I were not split up into separate rooms. The officer pulled out my file and asked to see copies of our passports, birth certificates and marriage certificates which he checked against the ones in the file he had.

He then went through how I met my wife before reviewing the wedding pictures. We did bring evidence of our joint life together (bank statements, car insurance docs etc) but he didn't take any copies. He finalized the interview by saying he expects us to be approved and that we should keep an eye on the post.

It's been emotional

Congrats!

IF you look at the estimate time frame directly on the uscis website, it can take up to a year or more to get an actual interview date for GC.  That's not the case for everyone though, I've seen it where some get there interview between 4-6 months.
