Hello! My I-485s status is interview ready to be scheduled since July and it's almost 3 months on going. Is there anyway that I can expedite my case? My medical from SLEC will expire on December and I don't want to retake it here in the states. My local field office is Sacramento.

Thousands are in the same situation just like yourself.  Your medical was valid the day you filed,  that's all that matters

YMMV

I am one of the thousands of people waiting to be scheduled. I filled May 8th, 2019 while I took my medical Dec 2018.  I found out medical is valid only up to a year when it was done (?)

Hello All,

I have recently used my AP card to gain entry back into the USA following a short trip back home to the UK. I did a bit of googling on the re-entry experience and from what I could see it ranged from 'a 5 minute secondary check' to 'hours sat waiting to be interviewed'. Below is my experience;

1. Entered IAH Houston. An airport representative advised that I should join the 'VISA' line

2. Went through a normal entry proceedure, finger prints, photograph etc and was told that with AP I would need to undertake 'secondary screening'

3. I was then escorted to another room by an officer who then handed my passport to an officer behind a desk who told me to sit down. There were 50 other people in the room, one guy mentioned he had been there 6 hours. You were not allowed to use your phone or leave the room, there was one key for the toilet which you had to ask for.  The officers were very rude, peoples questions were ignored completely and others were shouted at for not sitting down immediately (?!)

5. After an hour I was called forward, not to an interview room but just to the front desk. The officer asked my name and my address in the USA . He stamped my passport and that was it, I was on my way and made my connection.

Not a bad experience, but not a fantastic one. Make sure you allow plenty of time for your connections!!

This is good to know! Thanks for the heads up. IAH was actually my POE and always will be I guess.

When I first arrived in Houston, it was almost midnight. No line at all. It was quick and no questions were asked. It took me just 10 mins inside the room. I probably might stick to that flight schedule.

Does anyone know where VJ gets its dates from for its "currently processing" for the various forms? I looked up the EAD and VJ says processing May 5th, yet the USCIS website, for the NBC, says April 2nd. I know this doesn't really matter too much since this all seems to be happening for everyone completely out of filing order, but I can't find anywhere on USCIS's website that says they're processing forms dated early May - which tells me that _most_ people should be expecting their EAD's towards the end of next month (which is what VJ was originally telling me back in August when the dates started flying far out into the future).

VJ does not provide any 'currently processing' information as far as I know (they have no way of knowing this).

They provide estimated processing times based on what VJ users provide in their timelines. I'm not sure how they calculate this.

Hi,

We placed an expedited request for work authorization and have been asked by USCIS to fax documents to support our request.

They gave us a fax number in the email and we tried to send the documents to the given fax number; however, every time it gives a failed message. We tried multiple times.

Wanted to know the USCIS fax number from ppl who had placed an expedited request and successfully sent their documents via fax.

Thanks
