Missed Biometrics appointment

I was trying to reschedule both appointments before the deadlines but it turned out that I was late to get the biometrics part rescheduled before the deadline. Is it's even possible to reschedule the biometrics appointment and the interview since I missed the biometrics appointment? The interview is two days, so what will happen since the biometrics appointment was missed? I was told that that automatically cancels the interview? if so what should I do next if I want to reschedule them? I tried to reschedule in this website: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-BR/iv/groups/20869694  but I didn't see a option for it.

You need to get your oversight  corrected quickly. I am not sure of the consequences to missing a biometrics appointment at the interviewing consulate level. However, I do know that later on at the AOS and ROC level of the process, "if you fail to appear as scheduled, your application will be considered abandoned." I suspect that it is likely a serious issue at your current level too.

Call them, email them, go there and try to explain your case. You need to be proactive and get this corrected, toot sweet.

Hope that you are able to get this resolved.

The consulate in rio directed me to email:

immigrationrio@state.gov

but when I did that the email directed me to that site I sent and I couldn't find a way to reschedule anything. Anyone knows anything?

You are asking a interviewing consulate-specific question. For you to get a more focused response, I have suggested that the mods move your inquiry to the Regional Forum. You will likely get a better response from someone who has gone through the Rio consulate.

Please remember this is their ball field, their rules, their ball. They (USCIS/DOS) call the shots, not the petitioner nor the beneficiary. It is of little consequence to them as to how and why this happened. But the burden is on you to get this situation straightened out correctly and promptly.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

So I just wait for a reply here?

Yes, if they agree to my suggestion, the entire thread will be moved there. There will bee a bookmark placed in the old forum, that will take them to the new regional forum......virtually seamless.

Hopefully someone acquainted with the workings of the Rio consulate will respond.

Moved to Regional sub forum as question requires country consulate specific information

## Organiser hat off

OP.. if you don’t see any responses in the next day , try posting your specific question again, in this subforum,   using a heading that reflects the specific need

Have you tried calling the CASV directly? Their number is +55 21 4042-0584 . The Consulate does not deal with rescheduling of biometrics as far as I know.

A girl I know missed her biometrics appointment (she forgot), so she went to the ASC the next day and was able to get it done, but the employees there had to call the consulate and ask for permission.

In your case, since you wanted to reschedule everything, and considering the fact that the interview would have happened today, I don't know if there's still time.

I hope you got a solution!
