my i130 approved petition was sent to NVC on 5/10. I emailed NVC and confirmed they received my approved petition on 5/24 but not entered in the system yet. How long has others waited to get a case number and get the bill to pay?

NVC received my I-130 petition on April 16th and we still have no case number. My husband called again yesterday and they said to allow up to 8 weeks (so June 12th) until checking with them again. 

But most people get their case number way faster than that so I suppose this has to do with luck.

I just received the email below. We got CC May 21st and were waiting for the interview date. We never got an interview date but now just received this email. Anybody knows why?

 

Also, we did asked for our case to get expedited (the day before we got CC) because I am in the US Air Force Reserve and need to move back to the US with my spouse as soon as possible. To this date we only got a notice last Friday saying that is under review.

 

Does this email means that our expedite got approved?

 

Currently on hold with the NVC.....

UPDATE: spoke to a really nice rep that told me to ignore the email as it was a glitch that happens frequently. She also checked on the expedite request and confirmed that is still under review and that it was forwarded to the consulate in Rio last Friday and now they are waiting for them to respond.

 

I guess we just need to keep waiting.....
