And maintenance on the 30th. Crazy. I hope we are done this month with NVC. It’s like we’ve been here forever. 😁

I’m lucky. All of my petitions should be in Manila by Tuesday or Wednesday. I will book the interview before the maintenance period so I will have a few weeks to relax and not check CEAC or call NVC everyday!

How can you expedite a case? For a valid reason? What's a valid reason? Apologies if this has been answered before.

Hello lovely folks.

So, NVC received my case on the 15th April 2019, and we received an email on the 15th May 2019 with instructions to upload. Police clearances took a while but I've managed to hit the submit button today, the 25th May 2019!

God willing, all goes well. Good luck everybody!

You simply send an email to NVCExpedite@state.gov

They will send your request to the embassy and the embassy will approve or deny the request.

Appreciate the rapid response. What could be a valid reason to request an expedited case?

NVC is pretty open to reasons. We used school for my step kids as the reason. Financial reasons are common. Just ask and see what happens.

I used the same reason...kids school...Tuition is so expensive these days and if we could save some money by getting early interview...that will at least buy a 1 plane ticket...so u try and c what could be done...rest in GOD hands.

We did not a request an NVC expedite and it took less than six weeks from NVC case number assignment to receiving the email from NVC with my husband's interview date.  NVC is so fast an expedite isn't really worth asking for IMO.  It could actually slow it down.

Scratch that. I've got it down from your timeline. Thank you!
