Has your status changed to "IN TRANSIT" or is it still "AT NVC"? Mine just changed today right after my expedite was approved (non-conditional), although it really didn't matter since all my documents were already accepted.

We are still "At NVC" but the last DQ message was just 30 minutes ago.  Did they give you an interview date and time.  I heard that expedites are supposed to do that on their own.  I was wondering if we will get something from the Embassy so we can do medical.

We just received the Documentarily Qualified message for Aira that we weren't expecting until June 4!  All of us are approved to be sent to the Embassy now.  What a difference a day makes.

Congrats! When did you resubmit?

It will probably change soon. No interview, typically the embassy sends you the information needed for medical and appointment scheduling within a few days of receiving the case from NVC. It will give you instructions on scheduling your own interview appointment. If I get that before you, I will share it with you so you have a general idea of what to expect (although it will be embassy dependent).

They asked for a copy of our marriage certificate on May 13.  I talked to NVC yesterday and they said to call back on June 4 (3 weeks plus Memorial Day) to check the status.  We were notified 30 minutes ago that all are approved.

Oh wow! People who resubmitted May 2 still no update. Maybe because yours is expedited?

Thank you.  I would appreciate that.  I can give you our interview thoughts since we interviewed in Manila in April of 2018.  We passed the interview and were denied in AP.  The interview was a great experience.

I don't think so.  I think it is because I call them everyday! LOL  I even got an email response from them on May 22 about the May 21st call.

Every operator was great but the guy yesterday was awesome.  He explained a lot about their internal process.

I read your review in your profile, our first time through this process was in 2011 and it was very smooth. The COs in Bogota typically have great reviews. I am just glad I had the opportunity to submit all the documents and have them accepted via CAEC, so there are no major surprises during the interview.

I hear that!  It should be smooth sailing now.  Hopefully your expedite will help you be together next month!

Wow! How do you get email after a phone call? I submitted a W2 May 8. No update.

It actually came from NVCExpedite@state.gov and started with "As a followup to your phone conversation on May 21...."  I was shocked!

Well maybe that was it. We have no valid reason to expedite. Can feelings be a good reason? 😁

I thought my reason was weak but I guess NVC is a bit more lax than USCIS.  I've heard of approvals because of the stress of being away from your spouse.  It certainly doesn't hurt to try! Send an email.  Our approval was for school and how school in Manila starts in June so it would be nice to be settled by then.

Go for it!
