Funny enough that, for my son's case on the USCIS account the status changed from "approved" to "case sent to department of state" and for my case the status remained as "approved" so apparently his case was sent to NVC as well, however I did not receive an email from NVC for his case.

Hey all since I just received an email from NVC stating they received my case. what is the next step or how long do I have to wait before I receive a case number or what is the next step? Anyone....

Ignore it. Most of us had the same message. When I was going through that process I called the NVC about it and was told to ignore it. 

 

To prove it I already got CC on Tuesday.

I think we should be fine. The message is probably a general one and it should be updated once the documents are reviewed by the NVC.

Are we supposed to get a confirmation email after submitting DS-260 and AOS documents? I have not received any notices since I sent my documents on May 13.

When you say “sent” did you had to mail or email your documents to the NVC?

 

For me everything was submitted online in the CEAC/NVC website and just needed to wait for them to review it and accept them. No email confirmation was received unless they required additional documents or CC.

Mine was also online. So, based on what you said, I just need to wait for document review email.

Once you submit and complete every thing your home page will show the following status:

 

IV Fee = Paid

AOS Fee = Paid

DS-260 = Complete

Civil Documents = Submitted

AOS Documents = Submitted

 

Once NVC reviews documents (this can take up to 3 weeks), two will change:

 

Civil Documents = Accepted

AOS Documents = Accepted

 

It may take a little while to recevied "Document Qualified" email, don't worry.

Thanks for the detailed response. Up to 90 days??? I thought it takes about a month for document review.
