They do not need your taxes to show you dont owe taxes .. My God who is feeding you your information... The need your taxes to prove you have sufficient income to meet the poverty guidelines . If you can not meet those guidelines you need a co sponsor.  I only submittied one years worth of tax papers and it got accepted. Do three if you like. This is why I have an attorney if you dont your gonna get miff about.  Good luck.

Unless a petitioner /sponsor is self employed , current income is assessed using recent payslips , employment letter etc, rather than tax returns

While only the most recent tax years transcript must be provided , completing the I864 requires answering the question.. have you filed tax returns for the 3 years previous. If the answer to any of those years is No, then the sponsor must provide a written reason .. acceptable according to IRS rules.. as to why they did not file .. eg. Income for 2017 was below the threshold for filing

Most applications do not require an attorney

We both can’t open the website at the moment. I thought it was my connection but i tried with data and still not loading. He is calling again but can’t go through. Lol! He used to tell me to wait and relax. Now he is the one pissed with them. I am laughing! 🤣

Looks like the website is down. I just tried to log in and the page is not loading.

So probably your husband got an incompetent NVC rep on the phone. Best is to speak with a supervisor.

NVC May be actively updating your case on the CEAC website. Give it a few hours or a day and try again

USCIS website said if you cannot meet income you can prove with additional information. See below from the Dept of State website. This is where  i am getting my information.

If you completed Form I-864, I-864A, or I-864EZ and the income reported on this form or your tax transcript reflects income below the poverty guidelines for the year the form was submitted, submit evidence of your income. This can include the following documents:

  • For those who are employed by an individual or company, submit a photocopy of an employment letter, pay stub, or pay advance (direct-deposit receipt) that meets the criteria below:
    • Includes your name and the company’s name;
    • Is on signed, business letterhead (you cannot sign the letter yourself); and
    • Is issued within the last three months.

For some reason, I didn’t panic when he told me about it. I guess i transferred my stress to him. Coz he is the one who is about to explode now!  Lololol!

They shldnt be working for the government if they are rude.

Thanks to everyone who checked CEAC! so I guess they are having another maintenance? How many breaks do they need? 🤣

This is what I got from USCIS website and from the US Embassy in Trinidad.

That's correct  but as far as submitting taxes to prove you dont owe taxes is incorrect .
