My wife was approved today at Islamabad Embassy. The questions she was asked were:

1. When did you get married?

2. Was it an arranged or love marriage?

3. What does your husband do for a living?

Then the CO looked at a few wedding pictures that showed our entire families and a couple of selfies. The CO smiled and said thank you and kept the passport. For some reason, my wife forgot to ask if she was actually approved. When she went back to give new passport sized pictures, my wife asked and they said we are approved.

She had to go back and give new pictures because the ones she had were slightly blurry. She said they were asking most of the people to get new ones and there was a place right outside the embassy to get new ones.

Thank you to all on VisaJourney that helped us get here. Looking forward to starting our new life together. Good luck to everyone else!!!

Congratulations🎉 May Allah SWT tightens your knot for a lifetime Ameen.

my husbands interview is next month in Islamabad too.

Once approved depending on country you go pick up passport with Visa or it is mailed to you.

Next whether before you leave your country or after you arrive in US you pay the $220 Immigration fee. That fee generates the green card.

Now you live and have fun. In 21 months (from arrival) if you got 2 year green card you are eligible to remove conditions or if you get 10 year green card you can renew every 10 years.

90 days from your  3 years from your arrival you are eligible to petition for citizenship.

Thank you so much for the information! Good to know we can opt to have it picked up. We were a bit afraid of it potentially getting lost in the mail. How long on average would you have to wait from approval to pick up?

I moved my case from Islamabad to Riyadh embassy as I am working here.

Any one here waiting for interview @ Riyadh embassy?

I received Documentary Qualified email on 15 May, now waiting for interview date :D

How long did it take for you to have it changed in the system? We're thinking of moving our case from Mumbai to Singapore too, as I am working in Singapore.

I submitted the request when our case was still at NVC, it took less than 2 weeks once i provided them all the information. However, they did deny to move the case at first but then i gave them additional proofs of my permanent residence at Saudi Arabia and it got approved.

Ah awesome! What did you submit for the residence proof? I am thinking of submitting my work visa and rental lease.
